The 80 takes the Limited Editions thinking to its largest expression yet in the modern range. At 80 metres and around 2,175 GT it offers volume that owners once had to commission from scratch. The platform keeps the semi-custom promise of settled engineering with a personalised finish. First deliveries began from 2025. The platform brings series-build discipline to a size that once demanded a bespoke programme.

For Amels the 80 answers demand from owners who want flagship size with the predictability of a series build. It sits above the 60 as the range-topper of the current generation. The approach lets a buyer reach genuine large-yacht volume on a faster timeline than a full custom would allow. Early hulls have carried the platform into service. For the yard it is a notable extension of the Limited Editions promise.

Oeino at flagship length

Espen Oeino drew the exterior, carrying the bolder language of the modern range up to 80 metres. The profile is contemporary and substantial, with the scale to support extensive outdoor decks. A sun deck of roughly 200 square metres crowns the design, a large expanse for gathering and lounging. The look reads as current flagship rather than a scaled-up smaller boat. The proportions were drawn for the length rather than stretched to reach it.

Outdoor living was central to the brief. The design includes a large pool and a beach club that opens on multiple sides to the sea. Guests gain a wide choice of open spaces from the top deck down to the waterline. The exterior balances presence with a genuine connection to the water. The beach club opening to the sea is central to how the boat is meant to be lived in.

At 80 metres the Amels 80 takes the current Limited Editions range into full flagship volume.

Sinot shapes the volume

The interior concept came from Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design, a first collaboration between the Dutch studio and Amels. Around 2,175 GT of volume gives the studio real room to work. The layout centres on a grand suite set on a dedicated owner's deck, with further guest cabins on the main deck. The yacht accommodates 14 guests in flagship comfort. Bringing in Sinot signalled the yard's intent to compete at the top of the market.

Beyond the cabins, the interior includes a wellness spa and a gym among its amenities. A winter garden features as well, bringing greenery and light into the accommodation. The beach club at the waterline extends the living space to the sea when at anchor. The volume allows generous ceiling heights and broad glazing throughout. The wellness spaces reflect how owners increasingly want to spend their time aboard.

Efficient power for the size

The 80 rides on a displacement steel hull with an aluminium superstructure. Propulsion comes from a pair of CAT 3516C diesels, each rated at around 2,816 hp, giving a top speed near 16 knots. The platform was designed with a hybrid system aimed at efficiency and lower emissions. That focus suits an owner planning extended, wide-ranging use. The hybrid element is aimed squarely at owners thinking about fuel and emissions.

At a 12-knot cruise the range reaches roughly 5,000 nautical miles, comfortably ocean-capable for a yacht of this volume. The draft of around 3.6 metres is modest for an 80-metre boat, opening more anchorages than the size implies. The engineering leans on proven components in keeping with the range. Efficiency was a stated priority throughout the design. The modest draft is a quiet but real advantage at this size.

The 80 is aimed at owners who want true flagship volume without a fully bespoke, multi-year programme. The Sinot interior and Oeino exterior give it design credentials to match custom rivals. It answers a buyer who wants a very large yacht without a blank-sheet commission.

As the range-topper of the current generation, the 80 extends the Limited Editions upward into territory the yard previously reserved for custom work.
