Delivered in 2017 at 96.55 metres, Faith joined the run of very large Feadships that defined the yard in the middle of the decade. At 2,991 GT she offers the volume of a true flagship with the finish of a full-custom Dutch build. Her beam of 14.5 metres gives her wide decks and generous internal space across every level. She was among the most talked about deliveries of her year, thanks to a signature feature that few yachts can match. In 2024 she was renamed Sophia after passing to a new owner.

Her standing rests on more than size. Faith carried a piece of engineering theatre that became one of the most photographed spaces in modern yachting. RWD lines and a helicopter forward

The exterior is the work of British studio RWD, known as Redman Whiteley Dixon, who gave Faith the characteristic flared Feadship bow and a long, purposeful profile. The lines are clean and modern, carrying her near 97 metre length without heaviness. A forward games deck doubles as a helicopter landing pad, with a hangar below able to house a Bell 429 helicopter. De Voogt Naval Architects developed the hull. The flared bow gives her a distinctive face at anchor and helps the hull through a head sea.

The outdoor arrangement is built for both leisure and reach. The foredeck hangar means she can carry her own aircraft under cover, extending her range into remote cruising grounds. Broad decks give owner and guests room to spread out, with shaded and open areas across several levels. A beach club at the stern brings guests down close to the water. The exterior spaces are laid out to make the most of long views in dramatic scenery.

The nine metre glass pool

The signature space is a nine metre swimming pool built from glass panels that form the ceiling of the beach club directly below. The construction runs to five layers of clear glass interleaved with foil, making up a pane around 68 millimetres thick. Swimmers above and guests in the beach club below share the same daylight through the water. It remains one of the boldest single features the yard has delivered. The engineering behind it took the yard well beyond a conventional pool.

The rest of the interior is the work of Chahan Minassian and his Paris studio Chahan Interior Design, whose refined and collected style suits a yacht of this scale. She accommodates 14 guests across seven cabins, with the owner's quarters given generous private space. The design mixes fine materials with a warm and contemporary tone. Chahan's palette leans on fine stone, metal and warm timber for a collected, gallery-like feel. Feadship joinery gives the rooms the depth expected at this level.

MTU power for ocean range

Faith is powered by MTU engines that give her a top speed of around 17 knots and an easy cruise near 15 knots. Her reported range of about 5,000 nautical miles allows long ocean passages between fuelling stops. The displacement hull is set up for comfortable passage-making across open water. Large tankage supports extended time away from port. Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure add up to a gross tonnage of nearly 3,000 GT.

A yacht of this value is built with redundancy across its critical systems, so that cruising far from support carries less risk. The volume of the hull allows generous technical and storage spaces below the guest areas. Stabilisation keeps her steady at anchor and settled under way. The machinery is arranged for long, self-sufficient voyages. Her draft of 3.7 metres keeps a wide range of anchorages within reach.
