The first hull launched in June 2026 and was set to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show that September. It arrived as one of the largest solar electric sailing catamarans the yard had built, and a marker of where the Eco line was heading. For owners the significance is simple, a boat of this scale that can run silent and self sufficient at anchor. The 100 Eco brings the quiet of the smaller Eco boats to a genuine superyacht.

Superyacht volume across two hulls

The 100 Eco carries the interior volume of a much larger monohull thanks to that 12.80 metre beam. The main deck holds a saloon that opens aft to a broad cockpit and forward to a foredeck lounge, so the social space wraps around the boat. A flybridge sits above with its own helm and seating, giving guests a second level in the open air. Wide side decks and a full beach club aft make boarding and swimming easy at anchor.

Below, the layout runs to as many as four cabins, with up to two in each hull, or fewer and grander suites to the owner's taste. The length of the hulls means these are full cabins with proper headroom rather than berths squeezed into a point. Because the boat is custom, the owner sets the balance between guest cabins and crew quarters. The scale gives the designers room to place a main suite that would suit a motor yacht of similar length.

Quiet built into the fabric

The interior is bespoke, drawn by the yard's studio around the owner's brief and finished to a superyacht standard in materials the owner chooses. What sets the Eco apart is that the quiet is engineered into the boat rather than added on, since the electric plant removes the constant hum of a generator. The air conditioning and the galley run from the battery bank, so nights at anchor pass in near silence. That silence is the feature owners notice first and talk about most.

Sunreef's approach to sustainability runs beyond propulsion, taking in energy saving climate control and careful water management across the boat. The solar surfaces double as part of the structure, so there is no bolt on array to spoil the lines. Heat recovery and smart energy management trim the loads that a boat this size would normally carry. The aim is a superyacht that can sit off a quiet coast for days without reaching for a fuel dock.

Solar Skin and a 770 kWh bank

The 100 Eco can wear up to around 242.5 square metres of solar panels, laminated into the hull sides and the superstructure, with more across the fixed bimini. Sunreef builds these from its proprietary cells, quoted at 24.8 per cent efficiency and rated to hold up in heat above 100 degrees Celsius. At full coverage the array generates up to roughly 45 kilowatts peak. The panels follow the shape of the yacht because they are part of the composite, not bolted on top of it.

Two electric motors of 360 kilowatts each drive the propellers and assist in port and in calm air. The energy from the solar array feeds a battery bank of 770 kilowatt hours, one of the largest the yard fits. Under sail the yard quotes an unlimited range, with the electric side there for assistance rather than the main means of travel. The hulls are composite, which keeps the displacement in check and lets the sail plan do the work on passage.

Who takes the 100 Eco

This is a superyacht buyer's boat, aimed at an owner who wants the space and the crew of a large yacht with a clear environmental stance. It suits long range private cruising and high end charter, where the silence and the low emissions are part of the appeal to guests. Owners here are usually experienced, often moving from a motor yacht or a smaller Sunreef. The custom build means each 100 Eco reflects one owner's priorities.
