The baby of the GranSport range

The GranSport 34 arrived in 2026 as the direct successor to the GranSport 33, a model that sold a dozen units and built a loyal following. At 33.9 metres it is the smallest boat in the fast displacement line, sitting below the 38, 45, 50 and 54. Alberto Mancini penned the exterior with development support from the Overmarine engineering office, keeping the family look while updating the platform. The first hull hit the water at Viareggio in the spring of 2026.

The GranSport idea is a crossover, a boat that gives up outright top speed in return for far greater range and comfort than an open sport yacht. The 34 is where that thinking starts. It is light enough to feel lively yet stable and economical when an owner wants to cover distance. For many buyers it is the first Mangusta they can run with a small crew and berth in tighter marinas.

Sport lines on a compact hull

The 34 wears the low, purposeful profile that runs through the whole GranSport line, with a plumb bow and clean superstructure. Wide glazing and open side decks keep the boat feeling far larger than its length suggests. A big aft cockpit and fold down terraces bring guests close to the water when the boat is stopped. The sun deck up top gives the owner an outdoor helm and a lounging area with real views.

Because the hull is built in single skin composite with a sandwich composite superstructure, the boat stays light and efficient. That low weight helps the 34 cruise economically and sit at a modest 240 GT. Deck flow has been worked so guests can move from the beach area aft to the bow lounge without crossing the working parts of the boat. The whole exterior is drawn to feel sporty at rest and calm underway.

For a boat under 34 metres the 34 carries a serious guest load, sleeping up to 12 across five cabins. A full beam owner's cabin sits on the lower deck alongside VIP and guest rooms, all with good natural light from hull windows. The main deck saloon opens to the cockpit for indoor outdoor living in warm weather. Crew of five live in three cabins so service stays out of sight.

The interior is a semi custom project shaped by Alberto Mancini and the Overmarine office. Owners choose the woods, stone, fabrics and layout to match how they cruise, whether that is family holidays or quiet couple trips. Light finishes and clean joinery keep the mood contemporary. The volume on offer is what really sets the 34 apart from open boats of similar length.

Quad pod drive and shallow draught

The 34 is driven by four Volvo Penta D13 engines of around 1,000 hp each, working through four Volvo Penta IPS 1350 pod drives. That podded layout gives top speeds near 24 knots and an easy cruise around 20 knots. The pods steer independently and draw the boat along from ahead of the drive, so close quarters handling is precise and joystick berthing is simple. The shallow draught that comes with pods opens up anchorages that deeper yachts have to skip.

The trade in the GranSport line is clear, the 34 will not match an open boat for outright speed but it cruises longer and more comfortably. Fuel burn stays low at displacement speeds, which stretches the cruising range well beyond a fast sport boat. The four engine, four pod arrangement also builds in redundancy for peace of mind offshore. For an owner who likes to drive, the joystick and the light hull make the 34 genuinely fun to handle.

The owner it suits

The 34 is aimed at the owner who wants a proper little superyacht that stays easy to run and easy to berth. It suits couples and families who value five real cabins and a shallow draught over the last few knots of top speed. The joystick controls make it approachable for an owner who wants to handle the boat without leaning on the crew for every move. Coastal cruising and island hopping are where it feels most at home.
