A modern take on the fast Baglietto

The 43 m Fast revives the yard's long history of building genuinely fast motor yachts, this time in a contemporary aluminium hull. Seven units had been delivered from the first boat in 2021, which makes it one of the yard's more successful recent models. It carries the Baglietto name for speed into the current range, a thread that runs back through the yard's history. The run of deliveries shows steady demand across several years. The model proved there was still a market for a fast planing superyacht at this size.

At 378 GT the 43 m Fast is compact for its length, a consequence of the lightweight hull built for speed. Its aluminium construction is the key to reaching planing speeds. The model bridges the yard's fast heritage and its modern design language. Repeat orders suggest owners valued the mix of real pace and a full superyacht finish. It stands apart from the slower DOM and T lines.

The Fast line

Baglietto's Fast line gathers its planing and semi-displacement aluminium yachts, the craft built for outright speed rather than displacement comfort. The 43 m Fast is a central model in this family, alongside larger fast yachts and the Superfast 42. Francesco Paszkowski Design shapes the line, giving it a sharp, contemporary look. Speed and light weight define the whole group from the smallest hull upward. The line reaches back to the fast open boats that first made the yard's name.

Where the DOM and T lines cruise in the mid-teens of knots, the Fast line runs at nearly twice that. The 43 m Fast expresses this with a hull built to plane. It suits owners who value passage time and a sporting character. The choice of aluminium keeps the weight low enough to reach real speed. The line keeps alive the fast-yacht reputation Baglietto built over a century.

Sharp and light

Francesco Paszkowski Design drew both the exterior and the interior, giving the 43 m Fast a clean, low profile over a semi-displacement aluminium hull. The 8.3 metre beam and a very shallow 1.7 metre draft suit fast running and inshore access. The all-aluminium build keeps weight low for planing performance. Large glazing runs along the superstructure. The styling stays restrained for a yacht built around speed.

The exterior balances sporting lines with usable outdoor space across the decks. A beach club and bathing area sit at the stern within easy reach of the water. The shallow draft opens up coves that deeper yachts cannot reach. Owners gain access to inshore spots that a displacement yacht would have to pass by. The look is unmistakably a fast yacht.

Paszkowski inside and out

With Paszkowski handling the interior as well, the 43 m Fast reads as a single design from hull to saloon. It accommodates ten guests across five cabins, with the owner given a private cabin. The interior volume is trimmed to suit the light, fast hull without stripping out comfort. Finish and layout follow the owner's brief within the platform. The result keeps comfort high without adding the weight that would blunt performance.

Crew accommodation supports seven across three cabins, enough for full service under way. The layout keeps the sporting character while giving comfortable living space. Storage and tender handling are planned around the fast hull. Guest and crew routes are kept clear at speed and at anchor. The interior suits active, shorter-range cruising.

Thirty-three knots

Twin MTU 16V4000 M93L engines driving water jets take the 43 m Fast to a top speed of 33 knots, with a cruise of 25 knots. Range at speed is about 700 nautical miles from 41,000 litres of fuel, which fits its role as a fast regional yacht. Some hulls specified with smaller MTU 12V4000 engines reach around 28 knots. The water-jet drive suits the shallow draft and the high top speed the hull can hold. The engineering is built around pace rather than long ocean legs.

This is a yacht for an owner who wants to cover ground quickly and reach quiet anchorages the same day. It suits busy cruising grounds where fast hops between ports matter. The trade for that speed is shorter range and less interior volume than a displacement yacht of the same length. For owners who prize pace, that is a fair exchange. The 43 m Fast offers that pace with a full superyacht finish.
