From launch to bestseller in three seasons
Numarine launched the first 37XP in August 2021 and presented her, Alaia, to the public at the Cannes Yachting Festival that September. What followed is close to unheard of at this size. By April 2024 the yard was delivering the eleventh hull of the series, Maya, and trade coverage since has reported further sales with delivery positions stretching to 2027. In a market where a 37 metre model is a success at three or four hulls, the 37XP became a production run.
The pace is not an accident of fashion. The model landed exactly where demand was moving, owners stepping out of planing flybridge yachts into volume, range and stability, and Numarine could actually deliver, with the Gebze facility geared to run multiple hulls in parallel and an 18 month quoted build time that most competitors cannot approach in steel.

The volume argument
At 37.14 metres overall with an 8.02 metre beam, the 37XP measures 362 international gross tons, a figure many 45 metre yachts of conventional proportion fail to reach. The high freeboard, near vertical bow and full depth hull that give the XP series its character are what make the number possible, and inside they translate into ceiling heights, storage and machinery access that feel a class above the length.
Umberto Tagliavini's full displacement steel hull carries a GRP superstructure, a 2.57 metre draft and a full load displacement of 333 tonnes. RINA Pleasure class applies. It is worth saying plainly that this is proper little ship construction, with the weight, the metacentric calm and the sea keeping that composite semi displacement yachts of the same length do not offer.

Eleven hulls delivered inside three years made the 37XP the volume phenomenon of the explorer market.

Twelve guests, seven crew
The standard arrangement sleeps 12 guests in six cabins with two further convertible spaces, an owner's deck option among the layouts, and crew quarters for seven across four cabins. The ratio is the practical one for a family boat that also charters, enough hands for full service without the payroll of a 500 GT yacht, and the semi custom process lets each owner tune the plan.
Can Yalman handles exterior and much of the interior styling across the series, and the delivered fleet shows the bandwidth of the formula, from pale Scandinavian schemes to darker, more masculine fits. Because so many sisterships exist, a prospective buyer can walk several finished interpretations before committing, an advantage unique among explorer yachts of this size.

The numbers that sell her
Twin MAN diesels of 800 hp, or 900 hp in heavy duty Tier III trim with SCR, drive the 37XP to 14 knots with a 12 knot cruise. At 8 knots the 49,000 litre fuel capacity yields 6,000 nautical miles, which is Atlantic circuit range with reserve. The machinery is deliberately understressed, medium duty engines loafing far below rated output for most of their lives.
The consequence is the one that matters at sea, understressed machinery aging slowly and running costs that stay modest for a 362 GT yacht. MAN service coverage is global, passage speed fuel burn is a fraction of planing yacht figures, and the systems are repeated across enough hulls that faults have usually been seen, solved and engineered out somewhere in the fleet before a new owner ever meets them.

The fleet effect
Eleven plus deliveries in three years did something subtle for 37XP owners, it created a real market. Brokerage comparables exist, charter managers know the boat, crew agencies have candidates who have run one, and insurers price a known quantity. For a segment, explorer yachts, that has historically meant one-off builds and guesswork on values, this is a structural advantage.
The model also seeded the rest of the range. The 40MXP rides on its platform, the 38XPC and 39MXPC Classics borrow its engineering wholesale, and the 45XP scales its logic upward. Anyone weighing a new order today is effectively buying the centre of Numarine's entire product system, which is the safest place in any builder's catalogue to put money.
المحركات والأنظمة
| Engines (standard) | 2x MAN D2868 LE425 medium-duty, 800hp (558kW) each at 2100rpm, consistent across YachtBuyer's spec sheet and Megayacht News' report on Maya, hull 11. |
|---|---|
| Engines (optional upgrade) | 2x MAN D2862 LE427 heavy-duty, 900hp each at 1800rpm, offered as an option on later hulls such as Maya, per Megayacht News and YachtBuyer. |
| Engine claim conflict, unresolved | One aggregator (an itboat search summary) cites a 2,100hp Caterpillar engine option; this is not corroborated by any other source and contradicts the consistently reported MAN-only lineup, so it is flagged rather than included as fact. |
| Gearboxes | Not publicly disclosed. The yard's own technical spec document has a gearbox section but its content could not be retrieved. |
| Generators | Three generators fitted, per Boat International; specific kW ratings not publicly disclosed. |
| Stabilisers | Fitted as standard, referenced generically by Boat International; brand and model not publicly disclosed. |
| Bow/stern thrusters | Not publicly disclosed. The yard spec document references thruster sections but details were not retrievable. |
| Watermaker | Fitted, confirmed by Boat International; capacity not publicly disclosed. |
| Fuel tankage | 49,000 litres per YachtBuyer's structured spec sheet; a separate report cites roughly 51,000 litres, a genuine conflict, with the spec-sheet figure preferred as better sourced. |
| Water tankage | Fresh water 3,000 litres; black water 4,600 litres, per YachtBuyer's spec sheet. |
| Range at cruise | 6,000nm at 8 knots; 5,000nm at 10 knots, corroborated by Boat International, TradeABoat, Megayacht News and the yard's own spec sheet. One weaker single source cites a different figure of roughly 7,000nm at 9 knots; not used due to weaker sourcing and inconsistency with the widely corroborated numbers. |
| Engine room access | Not publicly disclosed beyond the general full-displacement steel-hull, composite-superstructure construction. |

Second hull delivered on schedule despite global supply-chain problems
Numarine's own sales leadership pointed to the June 2022 handover of the second 37XP, hull Chapter 3, as proof the yard could hold its build schedule through pandemic-era supply chain disruption. This is a shipyard sales statement, not an independent owner account.
Ali Tanir, Numarine Head of International SalesA repeat buyer came back for a second 37XP
Denison Yachting, Numarine's US sales representative, said the second 37XP hull was delivered to a repeat client, calling it an excellent accomplishment for the shipyard. Broker-side commentary tied to an actual repeat purchase, not an anonymous marketing line.

نقاط القوة وما يستدعي الانتباه
نقاط القوة
- Genuine long-range explorer capability, not just a marketing number6,000nm at 8 knots (5,000nm at 10 knots) is corroborated independently by Boat International, TradeABoat, Megayacht News and the yard's own technical spec sheet, unusually consistent across sources for a superyacht range claim.
- Exceptional interior volume for the length362GT on a 37.14m hull is described by YachtBuyer's comparative data as the largest tonnage in its size class, and reviewers note it delivers volume more typical of a 45 to 50m yacht.
- Real, sustained market traction rather than a one-off flagship11 or more hulls delivered since the first, Alaia in 2021, through Maya, hull 11 in April 2024, with sales continuing into 2027 delivery slots and at least one documented repeat buyer, evidence of a working production line, not a stalled niche product.
ما يستدعي الانتباه
- Meaningfully slower than semi-displacement rivalsTop speed is capped at 14 knots (12-knot cruise). YachtBuyer's own head-to-head flags the Sanlorenzo SX112's 20-knot cruise as a direct competitive contrast. This is the real tradeoff of the full-displacement steel hull chosen for range and seakeeping.
- No published new-build price; semi-custom cost variabilityEvery dealer listing found shows new pricing as price on request. Because it is sold semi-custom, running costs and likely price vary significantly hull to hull depending on fit-out and engine option; this is the yard/broker's own framing, not an independent assessment.
- Notable gaps in public systems documentationGenerator output, stabiliser brand and model, thruster make, watermaker capacity and gearbox make are not published in any source found, despite a structured yard technical spec sheet existing; buyers evidently have to go direct to the yard for these.
- Inconsistent secondary reporting on basic specsFuel tank capacity is given as both 49,000 litres (YachtBuyer's structured spec table) and roughly 51,000 litres elsewhere. One aggregator claims a 2,100hp Caterpillar engine option that contradicts every other source's consistent MAN-only lineup (800hp standard, 900hp optional). Flagged rather than resolved by assumption.
معلومات عملية
| New price | No public price; every dealer/broker listing shows price on request for new builds, semi-custom, so cost varies by fit-out and engine option. |
|---|---|
| Used/resale price | Asking prices on the secondhand market currently range roughly EUR 14.5 million to EUR 19.8 million depending on hull, age and spec (itboat, Denison, YachtWorld listings). |
| Running/crew costs | Not precisely published. Capacity for up to 7 crew, with brokers describing typical complements of 5 to 6 including captain and engineer. Total running cost is described only qualitatively by dealers as manageable for its size and capability; not independently verified. |
| How to order | Semi-custom build ordered directly through Numarine or its regional sales network; Denison Yachting represents Numarine in the US. |
| Delivery lead time / current slots | Quoted build time is around 18 months. Sales into 2027 delivery slots have been announced; Boat International reported the 21st 37XP sold with 2027 delivery. |
| Comparable/competing explorer yachts | Bering 120 (near-identical LOA, similar 6-cabin/12-guest layout) and Sanlorenzo SX112 (faster, 20-knot cruise, less range), per YachtBuyer's rivals comparison. |
لمين هو: The owner who wants maximum proven capability per euro and per metre, values a deep fleet of sisterships for reference, resale and crew, and would sooner have 362 GT of honest steel volume at 12 knots than a lighter, faster yacht of the same length.
