A fully custom 51 metre

Heesen launched My Sky in January 2014 and delivered her that November as a fully custom project. Built in steel and aluminium, she measures 51.1 metres and carries 600 GT, a healthy volume for the length. The brief was long range and individual style, and the yard met both. She is a one-off, not a series boat. That freedom shows in the way every deck answers a specific brief. Nothing about her feels drawn from a catalogue.

Full-custom construction let her owner shape the yacht around a specific way of cruising. The displacement hull was chosen for reach and comfort on long passages. She hosts up to 12 guests across five cabins, sized for extended time aboard. My Sky is a personal yacht in the truest sense. The owner set the priorities and the yard delivered them. Omega above, bold and sleek

Frank Laupman of Omega Architects drew a bold yet sleek exterior that suits the boat's long-range purpose. The profile is muscular and modern, with the presence of a larger yacht. Clean glazing and a strong sheer give her a distinctive look on the water. She reads as capable and contemporary. The strong sheer gives her a purposeful stance. The deck spaces are arranged for both sun-seeking and shelter, with room to relax across her levels. Access to the water is easy, and the layout keeps guests connected to the sea. She can plan a crossing without a fuel stop in mind. Range was the organising idea of the whole design.
