Okto

Okto was ISA Yachts' flagship for twelve years before Sea Raider X took the title in 2026, delivered from the Ancona yard in 2014 to a design by Andrea Vallicelli with an Alberto Pinto interior. She first belonged to Greek shipping magnate Theodore Angelopoulos, who hosted then-Prince Charles and Camilla aboard her in August 2017, before selling her for an asking price of EUR 39 million in February 2020 to a buyer who has never been named. A 2026 refit put her back on the charter circuit at around EUR 590,000 to 620,000 a week, a rate high enough that podcaster Joe Rogan reportedly paid USD 640,000 for a week off the Italian coast near Venice in July 2025. At 66.4 metres she remains the second-largest yacht ISA has ever built and the only hull of the yard's GT 66 model.

ISA's Flagship Before Sea Raider X

ISA Yachts delivered Okto from its Ancona yard in 2014, and by the yard's own account she held the title of ISA's largest yacht for twelve years, until Sea Raider X's July 2026 delivery took it from her. At 66.4 metres with a gross tonnage of 1,149 GT, a 10.5 metre beam and a 2.95 metre draft, she is built in steel below the waterline with an aluminium superstructure above it, finished in the same black-hull, silver-superstructure combination Vallicelli Design would later repeat, twelve years on, for Sea Raider X. Exterior styling is by Andrea Vallicelli's Studio Vallicelli Design and the interior by the late Alberto Pinto, with naval architecture credited jointly to British firm BMT Nigel Gee and ISA Yachts' own technical office, per Boat International's yacht directory and Yacht Buyer's specification sheet.

Okto is the only hull ISA built to its GT 66 model, a designation Boat International's directory uses and which places her inside the same Gran Turismo family that Sea Raider X now leads as the 67 metre GT 67M. That makes her a useful yardstick for the family's earlier design language: the same black-and-silver hull treatment and displacement hull form the yard has now carried into its new flagship started here, more than a decade before Sea Raider X's christening. Where Sea Raider X arrives with no track record at all, Okto has spent twelve years in service, through one full ownership change, a public refit and a run of high-profile charters, and can be measured against her own claims in a way the newer flagship cannot yet.

The Pool, the Cinema and a Layout Still Copied Today

The defining feature, repeated in nearly every piece of charter coverage, is the pool on the aft main deck, a contraflow design that switches between salt and fresh water and can be heated or cooled, ringed by loungers and opening side platforms that widen the usable deck at anchor. The upper deck carries a circular sky lounge that doubles as a cinema, fitted with a Bowers & Wilkins sound system and a large screen, and the yacht carries a dedicated massage, beauty and therapy room with an onboard therapist, a specification more commonly seen on yachts built a decade later. Boat International's charter review and Luxurylaunches' 2025 account of Joe Rogan's charter both single out the same three spaces, the pool, the cinema and the spa, as what guests actually use rather than brochure features nobody visits.

The owner's suite, on the main deck, has a fold-down balcony that opens at the push of a button and an adjoining study that can convert into a VIP cabin or a children's room, per Edmiston's charter listing. Guest capacity is consistently given as 11 across the yacht's charter directory listings and Superyacht Times' technical database, though the cabin count itself is not settled: Boat International's own directory and Luxurylaunches both list 5 cabins, while Yacht Buyer, IYC and Boat International's own 2020 sale report all give 6, a split that looks tied to the 2026 refit rather than one source simply being wrong. Crew accommodation is 17 across 9 cabins per Superyacht Times and Boat International's directory, though several current charter brokers advertise a crew of 16, a minor variance worth confirming directly before booking rather than treating either figure as final.

Okto sold once, in February 2020, for an EUR 39 million asking price. Five years later a podcaster paid a reported USD 640,000 for a single week aboard her.

Power, Speed and Range

Okto runs two Caterpillar 3512C diesel engines, each rated at 1,764 kW (2,366 hp) for a combined 3,528 kW (4,732 hp), a figure Superyacht Times' technical database and Yacht Buyer's specification sheet both state identically down to the kilowatt. Top speed is listed at 18 knots by Superyacht Times and Yacht Buyer, against 18.5 knots on Boat International's own directory page, a gap of half a knot that sits well within the normal variance between a delivery figure and a database entry rounded from it. Cruising speed is more consistently given as 16 knots, with Superyacht Times separately noting a maximum range of 6,800 nautical miles at a slower, more efficient 13 knots, the speed a long passage would actually be run at rather than the cruising speed used for a day's charter.

Power comes from three Caterpillar C9 generators at 200 kW each plus a Caterpillar C6.6 emergency genset at 125 kW, and the yacht carries bow and stern thrusters plus what her broker listings describe as 'at anchor' stabilisers, a zero-speed system that works without the yacht underway, aimed specifically at comfort on the hook rather than in a seaway. She is classed with Lloyd's Register per Superyacht Times, carries a teak deck, and Superyacht Times separately lists 135,000 litres of fuel and 25,000 litres of fresh water capacity, figures no other source currently on record repeats or disputes.

Who Has Owned and Chartered Okto

Okto's first owner was Theodore Angelopoulos, the Greek shipping magnate behind tanker operator Metrostar Management, who took delivery of the yacht in 2014 and used her, among other things, to host then-Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, for a private gathering in August 2017, an event covered at the time by GreekReporter. Angelopoulos, whose net worth SuperYachtFan estimates at around USD 500 million, kept Okto through several seasons of Mediterranean cruising before putting her on the market.

She sold on 25 February 2020 for an asking price of EUR 39 million with VAT paid, per Boat International's own brokerage-sales report, with Camper & Nicholsons' Alex Lees-Buckley as listing broker and the buyer introduced by Eric Althaus of Althaus Luxury Yachting. The buyer has never been named publicly; Superyacht Times keeps the current owner's identity behind its paid SYT iQ database, and SuperYachtFan's own reporting describes the new owner only as US-based and represented by a Miami lawyer, a claim repeated here as an unverified report rather than a confirmed fact. What is confirmed is that Okto stayed on the charter market under the new ownership: Luxurylaunches reported in July 2025 that Joe Rogan chartered her for a week along the Italian coast near Venice with his wife, Jessica Ditzel, and their daughters, for a reported USD 640,000, making Okto one of relatively few charter yachts with a named, recent, non-brokerage account of an actual week aboard her.

What Okto Costs to Charter, Buy and Run

Following a 2026 refit, IYC, Edmiston and Superyacht Times all currently list Okto's charter rate at EUR 590,000 to 620,000 a week plus expenses in the Mediterranean, and USD 590,000 to 620,000 in the Caribbean over winter, up sharply from the USD 480,000 a week Boat International quoted in its July 2022 charter review, a jump that lines up with the refit rather than simple inflation. None of the current listings itemise what the refit covered beyond a refreshed sundeck bar with 360-degree views, so a chartering guest comparing her against a newer yacht at a similar rate should ask the brokerage directly what was actually replaced below decks rather than assume a full overhaul of her 2014 systems.

No sale price has been disclosed since her February 2020 transaction at an EUR 39 million asking price; SuperYachtFan's own estimate puts her current value at around USD 50 million and her running costs at roughly USD 5 million a year, both stated by that site as estimates rather than sourced figures, and this entry repeats them on that basis rather than as fact. For a buyer rather than a charterer, the nearest comparable on the open market is ISA's own Ledra, a 49 metre 2004 delivery from the same yard currently listed around EUR 9.85 million, though at 17 metres shorter and a decade older she is not a close match for Okto's size or age. What is not published anywhere in the material available is Okto's original build cost, any independent survey or condition report from her 2020 sale, or a confirmed scope for the 2026 refit beyond the sundeck upgrade brokers mention in passing.

What owners and crew report

What is good, and what to watch

Strong points

  • A twelve-year track record newer ISA models cannot matchDelivered in 2014 and still chartering at a premium rate in 2026, Okto has been through one ownership change, a refit and a run of independently reported charters, giving a buyer or charterer real information a brand-new flagship cannot yet offer.
  • Standout deck spaces for her generationThe contraflow pool, upper-deck cinema and dedicated spa room are still singled out by reviewers a decade after delivery, ahead of many yachts built since.
  • A real, named celebrity charter to point toJoe Rogan's 2025 charter is a rare example of a specific, dated, on-the-record account of a week aboard a charter yacht, rather than marketing copy.

What to watch

  • Basic accommodation numbers are not settledBrokers currently disagree on whether Okto has 5 or 6 guest cabins and whether her crew numbers 16 or 17, a discrepancy worth confirming directly with the broker before booking or bidding.
  • Current ownership and refit scope are opaqueThe 2020 buyer has never been named, Superyacht Times keeps that information behind a paid database, and no broker itemises what the 2026 refit actually replaced beyond a refreshed sundeck bar.
  • Speed and value figures rest on rounded or estimated numbersTop speed varies by half a knot across the two technical databases that publish one, and her USD 50 million value and USD 5 million running-cost estimate both come from a single site that states them as estimates rather than sourced figures.
