Sea Raider X

Sea Raider X is ISA Yachts' new 67 metre Gran Turismo flagship, delivered 20 July 2026 as the largest yacht the Ancona yard has ever built. She is too new for any independent owner reports or resale history - everything known about her so far comes from her delivery and launch coverage - but her size and the yard's own numbers already make her a step change for the brand.

The Largest Yacht ISA Has Built

ISA Yachts delivered Sea Raider X on 20 July 2026 from its Ancona yard, and by the yard's own account she is the largest vessel it has built to date - a meaningful marker for a company that has spent most of its history building in the 40 to 60 metre range under the Palumbo Superyachts group. She is developed across four decks plus a bilge deck, with a 10.5 metre beam, and was built ahead of a scheduled world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2026, the show where a delivery this fresh is normally first seen by charter brokers and the trade press in person rather than in photographs. Sea Raider X first touched water in May 2026, two months ahead of her July delivery, and she takes the flagship title from Okto, ISA's 66.4 metre launched in 2014, which had held it for twelve years.

The exterior is by Vallicelli Design Studio, finished in a black steel hull with a silver aluminium superstructure, a striking combination that reads very differently from the white-hulled convention most yards still default to at this size. Interiors are by Team for Design, the practice run by Enrico Gobbi. Both the exterior and interior credits are new collaborators for a flagship-scale ISA project, rather than repeat work from the yard's existing design relationships - itself a signal that ISA treated the Gran Turismo 67M as a genuine step up rather than a scaled-up version of an existing model. ISA's Ancona yard marked her launch with a full christening ceremony, the yacht dressed overall in signal flags and moored alongside for the event before heading out for sea trials ahead of delivery - the kind of formal send-off a yard reserves for a genuine flagship rather than a routine production hull. The event drew ISA's own trade and press coverage, consistent with how the yard has promoted its largest deliveries in recent years. ISA is not stopping at 67 metres: BOAT International reports the yard has fifteen yachts under construction or on order, including a 100 metre, 2,999 GT full-custom project scheduled for delivery in 2029, which will eventually take the flagship title on from Sea Raider X in turn.

Layout and Accommodation

The main deck aft area centres on a 6.5 metre panoramic swimming pool surrounded by a lounge, with two opening side platforms that widen the usable deck space outward when the yacht is at anchor - a detail that matters more than it sounds, since a 67 metre yacht's aft deck is otherwise a fixed width regardless of how good the weather is. Twin integrated staircases lead down from the pool deck to the aft platform and the beach club below, which carries a hammam, a bar and a gym area and connects directly to the tender garage, where a main tender of more than 7.5 metres launches through a side hatch rather than over the transom.

Guest accommodation runs to 14 across seven cabins, headed by a full-beam owner's suite positioned forward on the main deck - a placement that trades some of the aft deck's usual owner's-suite privacy for a more stable ride forward and, typically, a larger usable footprit under a plumb bow. Crew accommodation is generous for the yacht's size: 13 crew plus the captain across eight cabins, which points to an owner planning to run her hard, with charter or extensive family use in mind rather than a lightly crewed private yacht.

Propulsion and What Remains Unconfirmed

Sea Raider X runs conventional shaft propulsion rather than pods, powered by two MTU 16V 4000 M65L diesel engines rated at a combined 6,092 hp. ISA Yachts' own delivery release gives a top speed of 18.5 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots, and no independent sea trial coverage has yet been published to test that figure. It should be treated as the builder's own number until a trade sea trial confirms or revises it.

What is genuinely not known yet, rather than merely unsettled, is more significant: no charter rate or sale price has been published, no owner has been named, and - because she was delivered barely a month before this was written - there is no independent sea trial report, no owner or crew commentary, and no resale history of any kind. Every fact in this entry traces back to her delivery and launch-ceremony coverage rather than to time spent aboard her, and a reader should treat her verdict below as provisional until she has been in service long enough for that to change.

Design Details: the Transom, the Frame and the Beach Club

ISA's own description of the yacht points to two exterior details as the most distinctive: a diamond-shaped transom geometry, unusual on a 67 metre displacement hull where transoms are more often a flat or gently curved panel, and a 'frame' element that visually links the wheelhouse to the main deck rather than treating them as separate stacked volumes. Naval architecture was developed in-house by ISA Yachts itself rather than commissioned from an outside naval architecture office, which is worth noting given that Vallicelli Design and Team for Design handled exterior and interior styling respectively - the hull engineering stayed with the yard's own team even as the styling went to outside specialists.

The beach club is built to expand rather than stay fixed: launching the main tender through its side hatch frees floor space that becomes part of the entertainment area, effectively doubling the usable beach club footprint whenever the tender is in the water rather than in its garage. ISA's own framing of the project, in the company's words, is that 'Sea Raider X embodies the evolution of ISA Yachts' Gran Turismo philosophy, combining performance, engineering innovation and outstanding build quality' - a yard's own description of its flagship, worth reading as marketing language rather than an independent assessment, but consistent with the scale of the engineering the delivery coverage actually documents.

What owners and crew report

What is good, and what to watch

Strong points

  • A genuine step up in scale for the yardISA's own largest yacht to date, at 67 metres and 1,149 GT, developed as a new Gran Turismo 67M model rather than a stretched version of an existing hull
  • New design partners brought in specifically for the flagshipVallicelli Design Studio and Team for Design are new collaborators for ISA at this scale, a deliberate choice rather than reusing an existing in-house relationship
  • A crew complement built for hard use13 crew plus captain across eight cabins is generous for 67 metres, suggesting an owner planning extensive family or charter use rather than light private cruising

What to watch

  • Nothing about her is independently verified yetevery fact available traces back to the yard's own delivery and launch coverage - no independent sea trial, owner interview or crew report exists this soon after handover
  • Performance figures are the builder's own, not independently testedtop speed and cruise are ISA Yachts' own delivery-specification numbers; no independent sea trial has yet been published to confirm them, which is normal this soon after handover but still worth flagging to a buyer comparing her against a competitor with a trade-tested figure
  • No resale or charter history to judge her againstas the first hull of a brand-new model, there is no second example, no time-in-service data and no owner feedback to compare her claims to

Practical detail

PriceNot published. ISA Yachts has not disclosed a build cost or sale price, consistent with how most full-custom flagships at this size are handled.
Charter statusNot believed to be available for charter as of this writing, per YachtCharterFleet's listing.
Running costsNot published; no data exists yet for a yacht delivered weeks before this was written.
What to watch forHer world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show, September 2026, which should bring the first independent trade coverage, walkthroughs and a settled specification sheet.
What is not publishedPrice, charter rate, owner identity, an independent sea trial, and a single confirmed top-speed figure - all typical gaps for a yacht this newly delivered.
