The builder quotes a top speed of around 36 knots, with independent reports placing it closer to 38, which makes the 140 one of the fastest yachts of its size afloat. A fast cruise in the low thirties of knots and a range of roughly 1,400 nautical miles at an economical ten knots give it real reach. The four-engine, waterjet package is what turns 235 tonnes of aluminium into a genuine performer.
Waterjets suit the flagship for their high-speed efficiency and their shallow draught, which eases access to more anchorages. The propulsion is matched to stabilisation and comfort systems appropriate to a superyacht.
