Sanlorenzo SD118

The SD118 is one of the larger yachts in Sanlorenzo's semi-displacement line, a thirty-six metre composite cruiser that pairs long range with the volume and finish of a superyacht. It carries ten guests in an interior styled by Liaigre. It is the SD for owners who want distance and true scale in one composite hull.

Toward superyacht scale

The SD118 sits in the upper half of Sanlorenzo's semi-displacement range, below the SD132 flagship and above the SD96. At 35.75 metres it offers genuine superyacht volume while keeping the lighter, composite construction of the Yacht Division. The SD line draws its lines from the trans-Atlantic liners of the last century, and the SD118 wears that heritage at an imposing size. It is built to individual order like the rest of the family.

For a buyer, the SD118 is a large, comfortable long-range yacht that still feels like a Sanlorenzo. It suits owners who want to cross real distances and stay aboard for long seasons. The size brings space for more guests and crew than the smaller SDs allow.

Timeless above the water

The exterior is by Zuccon International Project, drawn with the classic, gently formal SD profile stretched over a larger hull. The design balances traditional lines with a contemporary reading, favouring a soft, seaworthy shape. Large windows and broad deck spaces open the yacht to the view and the air. A generous flybridge adds a commanding outdoor room.

Deck arrangements are shaped for relaxed life at anchor, with room to lounge, dine and handle tenders and toys. The proportions stay elegant despite the volume. The look is calm and enduring, meant to hold its appeal for years. It is a design built around comfort and long, easy days at sea.

Looking aft over the flybridge and swim platform reveals how much open deck the hull's volume buys: two separate lounging areas plus a full-width aft terrace.

Space by Liaigre

Inside, the SD118 accommodates ten guests and a crew of five. The semi-displacement hull gives generous volume, and the interior is styled by the French house Liaigre, known for a refined, understated luxury. Large windows frame the sea, and the finishes stay quiet and material-led. Owners can tailor the arrangement closely within that language.

With the volume of a boat approaching 291 GT to work with, the designers give the main deck and guest areas real breadth. The extra space shows in the size of the shared rooms as much as in the cabin count. A full-beam owner's suite and generous guest cabins make the most of the beam, and the flybridge gives the yacht a second commanding social level. It is a yacht built for extended time aboard with family and guests together. The mood is elegant and settled.

Distance in comfort

The SD118 is powered by twin MAN V12 engines, offered at around 1,400 or 1,650 hp, giving a reported top speed of about 18 to 19 knots. In keeping with the semi-displacement character, the boat is tuned for an efficient cruise and long range. Fuel is carried at around 32,000 litres, supporting genuine passages far from home. The emphasis is on distance and comfort over speed.

The hull is drawn for a soft, stable motion in a seaway, which long-range owners value above pace. Sanlorenzo keeps the engineering proven and serviceable at this scale. The larger engine option gives a little more speed for owners who want it, while the lighter one favours economy on long passages. The generous fuel capacity supports genuine ocean legs between fills. The boat is built to cover the miles in ease.

Who the SD118 suits

The SD118 suits the owner who wants superyacht volume and long range while keeping composite construction and the Sanlorenzo lineage. It is well matched to long seasons, ocean passages and larger groups aboard. Its Liaigre interior appeals to buyers who value understated, refined luxury. For those ready for a step up in scale without moving to metal, it is a strong answer.

Against other semi-displacement yachts in the mid-thirties, its case is generous volume, real range and a timeless look. For a Sanlorenzo owner it is the large, capable SD just short of the flagship SD132. It rewards those who want to travel far in comfort with a full complement aboard.
