Location: 92-100 Waipahe Place, Kapolei, on Oahu's leeward coast within the Ko Olina Resort, distinct from the resort's four man-made swimming lagoons

History: local planters offered the harbour to the Crown in 1725 for its hurricane shelter and near-invisibility from open water; the modern dockyard was built out in phases from the 1740s to the 1850s, with over 75 percent of the skilled labour force enslaved Africans
