Two hulls in a single summer
Rose, the first T55 Sportiva, hit the water at Tankoa's Genoa facility on 14 April 2025. Loewe, the second, followed at the end of May, and both yachts were in their owners' hands by August. For a boutique yard that measures annual output in single figures, delivering two 55 metre yachts in one season was a statement about production discipline, and Loewe went on to make her show debut at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show.
The platform is built entirely in aluminium, hull and superstructure, which keeps the yacht light and holds the volume just under the 500 GT line. Tankoa lists the series at about 499 GT on a 9 metre beam with a 2.4 metre full-load draught and maximum displacement around 455 tons, with classification offered through RINA or ABS. Staying under 500 GT keeps regulation, manning and running costs a clear tier down from the yard's larger models.
Luca Dini's motorsport profile
Luca Dini drew the Sportiva as exactly that, a sporting Tankoa, with an elongated, aerodynamic profile that reads more like a grand tourer than a tri-deck. The lines lean forward, the superstructure sits low, and full-height glazing runs along both the main and upper decks so the interior lives in daylight. It is the sharpest exterior in the current Tankoa range and a deliberate contrast to the calmer Paszkowski and Nauta lines elsewhere in the catalogue.
The design world agreed quickly. At the BOAT International Design and Innovation Awards ceremony in Kitzbuhel in February 2026, Loewe took the Outstanding Exterior Design award in the 50 to 69.9 metre class, with the judges citing her dynamic profile and sculpted volumes. For a series barely six months in the water, that is the kind of third-party endorsement no brochure can buy, and it lands on every future hull in the line.

A window below the waterline
The Sportiva's defining space is its beach club, set low enough that a glazed opening sits half-submerged at the waterline. Tankoa calls it a sealine window, the crew call the room the Nemo Room, and from the sofa the view is the sea at eye level, shifting between air and water as the yacht moves. On Loewe the space grew into a full wellness area with sauna and hammam alongside the lounge.
Above it, the aft deck carries an infinity pool with a cover that converts to a dance floor, and the sun deck answers with a second pool, sunbathing space and a bar. The owner's suite adds a private terrace with its own jacuzzi. Tenders and toys stow in a dedicated bay forward, which is why the stern can give every square metre to guests instead of chocks and cranes.
Two interiors, two owners
The first two hulls prove the platform's flexibility by disagreeing with each other. Rose carries interiors by Lissoni and Partners under the direction of Piero Lissoni, a serene, residential scheme from one of Italy's most celebrated design studios. Loewe's interior was developed with her owner's team into a fully customised six-cabin arrangement, one stateroom more than the first hull, sleeping twelve guests with a crew of about ten.
That divergence is the point of buying semi-custom from a full-custom yard. The naval platform, structure and systems are fixed and proven, while the general arrangement and every finish remain open to the owner's brief. An owner commissioning hull three or four chooses a designer along with a layout, exactly as Tankoa clients do further up the range.
Numbers, and how to get one
Power comes from a pair of Caterpillar C32 diesels, 1,193 kW each on Loewe, good for a top speed of about 17.5 knots and easy cruising at 15. Sea-trial data published after Loewe's delivery showed a range of about 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots, enough to reposition across the Atlantic with planning. Tankoa offers the platform with conventional shaft-line or hybrid propulsion.
For an owner who wants the Sportiva experience before committing, Loewe is listed for Mediterranean charter at around EUR 400,000 a week. For buyers, brokerage houses are offering the next hulls with delivery quoted from 2027, and the value of the award, two delivered sisterships and a charter track record is that the series is now a known quantity, not a rendering.
