Yotters is edited by Leon Soliman, Editor-in-Chief. He sets what the title covers, what it will not cover, and where the line between editorial and commercial sits. Every piece on this site is published under his editorial responsibility, and a correction request reaches him.
The reporting is done by the Yotters desk against the standards below. Where a fact could not be confirmed, the page says so instead of rounding it into something that reads better.
Yotters is an independent yacht-media title. We cover the yachts, the builders, the designers, the marinas, the destinations and the market for the people who own, buy and build at this level. Our judgement is our own and is not for sale.
We work from primary and public sources: the builders and designers themselves, official press material, brokerage records, class and flag registers, and the established marine press. On any hard fact, a name, a length, a tonnage, a price, a date, we look for at least two independent sources before we state it, and we write qualitatively where a single figure cannot be confirmed.
We aim to be right, and to be plainly right rather than vaguely impressive. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will correct it. Email [email protected] and we will look at it the same way we would a story tip.
Editorial and commercial are kept apart. Sponsored features, partnerships and brand campaigns are labelled as such and never dressed up as independent coverage. A builder appearing in our directory is not a paid placement, and a partner does not buy a kinder review.
Yacht, marina and product photography belongs to its owners and is used editorially with credit. Where a real photograph of a specific yacht is not available we say so rather than present a substitute as the real thing.
We write for the owner and the serious buyer, not the trade desk. That means the story always answers why it matters to you: your yacht as an asset, your decision, the design, the provenance, the experience. It also means we leave out the hype.
