The Apache an owner can have sooner

Tankoa introduced the T560 Apache at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show as the second member of the Apache family, distilling the 76 metre T760's architecture into a 56 metre, roughly 840 GT package. The yard then converted interest into a signed contract, and the first hull is in build for delivery in 2027. Where the T760 remains a project, the T560 is steel being welded, which changes the conversation for a buyer.

The platform follows Tankoa practice, a steel hull under an aluminium 5083 superstructure on a 10 metre beam with a three metre draught. The 850 GT class is a sweet spot in the current market, big enough for a full-beam owner's deck and a proper spa, small enough to keep crew, berthing and running costs a tier below the 1,000 GT threshold that triggers heavier regulation.

Mancini's arrow, scaled to 56 metres

Alberto Mancini carried his T760 vocabulary onto the smaller hull, crisp diagonal graphics, low bulwarks and decks that step back in clean layers rather than stacking into a wall. The layering is functional. Each deck edge becomes usable open space, and Tankoa markets the T560 explicitly on the amount of exterior living it packs into 56 metres, from the beach area to the terraces running the yacht's length.

The stern is the showpiece. The beach area spreads across lowerable side bulwarks into a wide sea-level platform, bordered by an informal lounge and an outdoor beach bar overlooking a four metre glass-sided pool. Drop-down balconies extend the space further. At anchor the whole aft end of the yacht opens into a private lido, which is where a modern owner's family actually spends the day.

An owner's deck with its own pool

The owner takes the forward upper deck, a private apartment with panoramic glazing over the bow, an expansive terrace and a 5.5 metre pool of its own, plus an alfresco lounge for dining away from guests. A private pool on the owner's terrace is a feature normally found ten metres further up the size range, and it defines the T560's pitch, flagship privileges on a 56 metre platform.

Guest cabins move up to the main deck, with windows instead of portholes, leaving the lower deck free for a genuine wellness area, a spa with hammam, beauty salon and massage room alongside a wide gym. The general arrangement Tankoa shows places the social spaces so guests flow aft and down toward the water while the owner keeps the high ground forward.

Seventeen knots and Atlantic legs

The naval architecture targets a top speed of about 17 knots with a range in the region of 4,300 nautical miles, enough to reposition between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean without drama. Displacement is around 850 tons. These are numbers for real itineraries, and they place the T560 among the more capable 56 metre displacement yachts on the order books.

Build quality arguments at this size usually come down to the yard, and Tankoa's recent record is the reassurance, Diamond Binta delivered on schedule at 58 metres in 2024, two 55 metre Sportivas afloat in 2025 and an award from BOAT International's Design and Innovation jury in early 2026. The T560 rides that operational momentum through the same sheds and the same engineering team.

Position in the range and the market

Within Tankoa's catalogue the T560 sits between the sub-500 GT S520 and T55 Sportiva below it and the T580 and Milano above, and it is the yard's answer to the strong 850 GT segment where several Italian and Dutch rivals now compete. Its differentiators are the Mancini signature, the owner's-deck pool and the sheer proportion of the yacht given over to open air.

With hull one under contract for 2027, a second owner can commission against a live production slot with the first yacht's engineering already matured. Tankoa's semi-custom model leaves interior styling and layout open, so the Apache look outside can wrap any sensibility within.
