The entertainer's flagship
Kismet is the latest and largest yacht of that name for her owner, a clear step up from the 95-metre Lurssen he ran before. Delivered in 2024 at 122 metres and 4,918 GT, she was conceived as a floating venue as much as a private home. The industry recognised her the following year with the Motor Yacht of the Year award, a mark of how completely she delivered on her brief. She represents a distinct philosophy at the top of the market, one built around fun.
Where many large yachts aim for serene restraint, Kismet leans into spectacle and social life. Her owner, who runs an NFL franchise and an English football club, wanted a vessel that could host and entertain at scale. That intent shaped every deck. The result is a yacht with a personality that is rare at this size.
A bold profile
The exterior styling came from Nuvolari Lenard, who gave Kismet a striking and confident profile across her five decks. She has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and a beam of around 17.8 metres. The design makes room for an extraordinary amount of open deck space, because so much of the yacht's purpose plays out in the open air. Even at rest she reads as a yacht built for gathering.
A jaguar motif runs through the vessel, and the project was known during construction as Project Jag. That personal branding is woven into the design rather than bolted on. The overall look is glamorous and deliberately expressive. It is a yacht that does not try to hide what it is for.

A bespoke interior
Inside, Reymond Langton Design created what the yard has described as a bespoke tribute to the owner's life and tastes. The interior features floor-to-ceiling glass, intricate paint and marble detailing and several fireplaces spread through the accommodation. The spaces are rich and layered rather than minimal. Craftsmanship is evident throughout, in keeping with Lurssen's standards.
The engineering supports a long list of heavy amenities without compromising the yacht's sea-keeping. Structural provision for pools, a submarine and large entertainment spaces has to be designed in from the keel up. Lurssen's naval architecture makes room for all of it while keeping the vessel stable and quiet. The technical achievement is easy to overlook behind the spectacle.
A floating entertainment complex
Few yachts can match Kismet for the sheer variety of things to do on board. She carries a basketball and pickleball court, three swimming pools, an outdoor cinema, a DJ booth with a dance floor, and an underwater viewing lounge. Multiple fireplaces and firepits are spread across her decks for cooler evenings. The ship was planned so that large groups could be entertained in many different ways at once.
For adventures away from the ship she carries a submarine and a full complement of water toys. The accommodation hosts up to twenty guests in eleven cabins, with a crew of around thirty-seven. That level of crewing supports the constant activity the yacht was built for. Life aboard Kismet is designed to be busy and social rather than quiet.
A very public yacht
Kismet's owner is not a mystery, and has spoken about her publicly. That openness is unusual at this level, where most owners stay anonymous. She is also offered for charter, which brings her further into public view.
Her arrival in New Orleans for the 2025 Super Bowl put her in front of a mainstream audience far beyond the yachting world. As a charter yacht she also has a commercial life, offered at rates that place her among the most expensive vessels available. That combination of personal use and charter income is itself a modern model for owning a yacht of this scale. Kismet shows how a giant yacht can work as both home and business.
How the industry itself judged her
The World Superyacht Awards judging panel gave Kismet two wins in 2025, Motor Yacht of the Year and the Displacement Motor Yachts category for vessels of 1,500 GT and above. Judges pointed to the integration of technology and build quality, but also singled out what they called her sense of identity, a harder quality to judge than tonnage or top speed and one the panel treated as central to the win rather than a side note.
That identity comes through in details built for use rather than display. The foredeck helipad, certified for the Eurocopter EC155, converts into a regulation basketball and pickleball court when no aircraft is expected. The Nemo Lounge, glazed in 13cm-thick glass below the waterline, switches between an underwater viewing room and a private cinema. None of this is unique to Kismet on its own, but the combination, on a yacht her owner uses personally and also books out to charter guests, is what the judges and the charter market have both responded to.
