The S10 is the flagship of Azimut's S Collection, the family that channels the brand's sportier instincts into low, glassy coupe hulls. At 28.72 metres it is the largest and most powerful member of that line, and the yard describes it as the boat that pushes the S ideal of superior sporting performance to its fullest. It carries four guest cabins along with quarters for two crew, so it works as a fast weekender as much as a full cruiser. The model helped move the S Collection up into the size bracket once reserved for the Grande range.
What makes the S10 significant is the way it marries speed with the space of a proper yacht. Earlier S models were smaller and centred on pace. The S10 keeps that sporting profile at a length that also offers real accommodation. It sits within Azimut's Carbon-Tech Generation, the group's programme of building light with composite materials. The S10 first appeared at the start of the decade and remains the high point of the S range.

Alberto Mancini styled the S10, and the exterior is all about a low, forward-leaning silhouette that signals speed even at the dock. The coupe roofline flows into a broad expanse of glass along the hull sides, giving the yacht a taut and athletic stance. A sunroof and large aft openings connect the enclosed helm area to the open deck behind it. The whole profile is lower and sharper than the flybridge yachts in the Azimut range.
Carbon construction is central to the look as well as the performance. The superstructure and parts of the hull use carbon fibre, which lets Mancini keep the roofline low while still carrying big glazed surfaces. The aft cockpit steps down to a bathing platform close to the water for easy swimming and tender work. Sweeping lines and a near-continuous glasshouse mark the S10 out as the sportiest large yacht Azimut offers. The near-vertical bow lengthens the waterline and helps the yacht track cleanly at speed.

Francesco Guida's four-cabin coupe
Inside, Francesco Guida handled the interior design, giving the S10 a bright and contemporary feel that suits its sporting character. The layout offers four guest cabins below, including a full-beam master, with two further cabins for crew. On the main deck the saloon and helm sit under the long glasshouse, so the driving position stays connected to the social space. Daylight reaches deep into the interior through the side glazing, keeping it open despite the low coupe roofline.
The design leans towards a relaxed, resort feel with little heavy formality. Pale surfaces and clean detailing make the most of a beam of 6.34 metres, which is modest next to a Grande yet generous for a sport hull. Guests get a proper four-cabin layout that lets the S10 stay out for more than a single night. The result is a fast yacht that can still host a family in comfort.
Thirty-five knots on MTU power
Performance is the whole purpose of the S10, and it is well armed for it. Twin MTU M96L engines produce 2,600 hp each and drive the yacht to a top speed of up to 35 knots. Cruising sits at around 28 knots, quick enough to shrink a coastal passage that would take a displacement yacht much of a day. The hull was developed by P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture with the group's research department.
Carbon construction is what makes those numbers achievable at this length. Building the hull and superstructure in composite keeps weight down so the engines have less mass to move. That lighter structure also sharpens the handling and helps the yacht settle when running at speed. For a boat approaching 29 metres, the S10 behaves with the agility of something considerably smaller. A draft of just over two metres also lets it nose into anchorages that keep deeper hulls offshore.
For the owner who wants pace
The S10 is aimed at an owner who puts driving pleasure and speed near the top of the list. It suits fast hops between Mediterranean ports or a rapid run to an island for lunch, with the range and cabins to stay over when plans change.
