The start of a hybrid range
The Seadeck 6 is the first and smallest model in Azimut's newest family, a range built around hybrid propulsion and a relaxed, open way of living aboard. At 17.25 metres it introduces the Seadeck idea of a fun, beach-oriented yacht with a lower environmental footprint than its rivals. Azimut positions the range as a fresh lifestyle branch alongside its sport and flybridge lines. The 6 carries three guest cabins and a crew cabin in a package aimed at active families.
The significance of the Seadeck 6 is as much about intent as size. It is the model where Azimut brings electrification and open-deck living together in a production yacht for the first time. The yard claims the design can cut carbon dioxide output by as much as 40 per cent over a year of average use against comparable yachts. That makes the 6 a statement of direction for a builder of Azimut's scale. The model made its American debut at the Fort Lauderdale show in 2024, where the range first reached the United States.
A beach house on the water
Alberto Mancini styled the Seadeck 6 around the idea of open, connected deck spaces that blur the line between inside and out. Low bulwarks and wide fold-down terraces bring guests close to the sea, giving the aft deck the feel of a beach house rather than a formal cockpit. The profile is fresh and informal, with big openings that let air and light move through the boat. The design puts social space and contact with the water first.
Carbon fibre is a big part of how the look is achieved. Up to 40 per cent of the yacht's surface is laminated in carbon, taking as much as 30 per cent of weight out of those parts. That saving lets Mancini carry large open areas and terraces without overloading the hull. The overall effect is a light, airy yacht designed for swimming and easy days spent at anchor. Fuel and water tanks of 2,400 and 590 litres round out a package sized for weekends rather than ocean passages.

Matteo Thun's natural materials
The interior is the work of Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, who bring a warm, natural palette that fits the outdoors character of the range. Three guest cabins sit below, including a full-beam owner's cabin, with a further cabin for crew. Natural textures and soft tones give the accommodation a calm, informal feel in keeping with the beach-house theme. The layout is arranged for a family that wants to live outward towards the water.
The connection between inside and out is the guiding idea below as well as on deck. Large windows and open sightlines keep the saloon tied to the sea around it. The fit-out favours comfort and durability suited to barefoot, active use. It reads as a relaxed holiday home afloat, informal and easy to live in.
Triple IPS and a battery bank
The Seadeck 6 runs on three Volvo Penta IPS pod drives, rated at 380 hp in standard IPS 500 form or 480 hp as the optional IPS 650. With the larger engines the yacht reaches up to 33 knots and cruises around 24 knots, brisk figures for a hybrid family cruiser. The pod drives bring the manoeuvrability and efficiency that IPS is known for. That gives the 6 real pace when the owner wants it. Buyers can choose a coupe with a hard top or a more open sundeck version, with the coupe the quicker of the two.
The hybrid element is what sets the boat apart. Azimut calls it the Mild Hybrid Zero Emission Hotel Mode, built around a 42 kWh lithium battery pack charged through an alternator on one of the three engines. At anchor the batteries can run the yacht's domestic systems with no generator for up to four hours by day and eight hours by night. Solar input helps top up the bank and stretch that silent time further.
The family that wants quiet anchorages
The Seadeck 6 is built for an active family that values time in the water and quiet nights at anchor. Its hybrid system appeals to owners who want to run domestic power without the noise and fumes of a generator through the evening. The open decks and swim-friendly layout suit warm-weather cruising with children aboard. It works as a day boat for entertaining and as a comfortable base for a weekend away.
In the market the 6 enters a growing field of hybrid and electric-assisted yachts, and it does so with the weight of a major builder behind it. Its rivals are other lifestyle cruisers in the 50 to 60 foot band, few of which yet offer the same battery-backed silent mode. The carbon build and the group's service network strengthen its case. For a buyer who wants lower emissions without giving up speed or space, the Seadeck 6 is an early and credible option.
