The flagship of the range

Baglietto introduced the DOM155 in January 2026 as the largest model in the DOM line. At about 46.4 metres it takes the range up to the top of the sub-500 GT class, the point where a yacht gains real volume while staying clear of the heavier rules above 500 GT. The first unit had already been sold at launch and is due for delivery in early 2029. Demand for the size was strong enough to secure a buyer before the first hull took shape. It stands as the fullest expression of the DOM concept.

The model answers demand from owners who liked the DOM line but wanted more size. Baglietto framed it as the length that buyers had been asking for. Its arrival rounds out the range from 34.5 to 46 metres. The flagship gives the line a clear top end for the first time. The DOM155 gives the family a yacht it can build a range around.

The top of the DOM ladder

The DOM line groups Baglietto's contemporary displacement yachts under the Studio Vafiadis pen. The DOM155 sits above the DOM133 and the DOM115 as the range flagship. It keeps the family's focus on volume and long-stay comfort while adding the space that only length can bring. The design reads as a scaled-up version of the concept rather than a new direction. The through-line from the smallest hull to the flagship is easy to see.

Staying below 500 GT is central to the whole line, and the DOM155 pushes right up to that ceiling. That keeps crewing and operation manageable for a yacht of its size. Owners gain flagship scale without stepping into the different regulatory world that opens above 500 GT. The choice reflects how the yard reads the market at this length. It caps the range at its natural upper limit.

Sculptural and low

Stefano Vafiadis described the hull as clean and sculptural, and the exterior carries long horizontal lines across the aluminium structure. The all-aluminium build supports customisation and a shallow draft. Deck space grows with the length, giving room for larger social areas fore and aft. The first unit is reported to carry two infinity pools, a rare feature at this size. Water and open deck become a defining part of the exterior.

The extra metres over the DOM133 show most in the openness of the exterior decks. Glazing runs long along the hull sides to draw daylight deep into the interior. The shallow draft keeps the flagship able to reach the same quiet anchorages as its smaller sisters. Outdoor areas are spread to suit long stays in warm waters. The look stays firmly within the DOM family.

Flagship volume

The DOM155 accommodates ten guests across five cabins, arranged around a full owner's suite with the option of an extra cabin on the upper deck. The near-500 GT volume gives the largest interior in the line. Layout and finish are open to the owner within the platform. Ceiling heights and social spaces reach their fullest here. The upper-deck cabin option lets an owner add a further suite when the brief calls for it.

Crew accommodation supports up to eight, sized for private service on long trips. The flagship uses its length to spread guest and owner areas across the decks. Space is given over to wellness areas as much as to formal saloons. The larger hull allows features and volumes that the smaller DOMs simply cannot carry. The interior is built for extended time aboard at the top of the range.

Steady and shallow

Twin Caterpillar C32 engines drive the DOM155 to a top speed of about 16 knots in classic displacement style. The aluminium hull helps efficiency and keeps the draft shallow for the size. Performance favours quiet, economical cruising over speed, in keeping with the rest of the line. Full range figures had not been published at launch. The focus stays on comfortable passage-making rather than pace.

The DOM155 suits an owner who wants flagship volume without crossing into 500 GT territory and its heavier demands. It works for long Mediterranean seasons and wider ocean cruising with a crew that stays modest for the length. The near-500 GT scale gives space for larger owner groups. Delivery of the first hull in 2029 will show how the design performs in service. As the newest model, it carries the line's latest thinking.
