Where the FAST50 sits in the range

The FAST50 opens a new chapter for Baglietto's Fast Line, the yard's most dynamic family. She sits at the top of the planing range, above the 42 metre Superfast 42, as its performance flagship. The first hull hit the water at La Spezia on 3 June 2026 to launch the series. At 49.9 metres she is kept deliberately under 500 GT, which eases her survey and crewing profile for a private owner.

The design leans hard on the yard's own aluminium heritage. Baglietto built its reputation on light, fast craft, and the FAST50 draws direct inspiration from historic projects such as Adler, Pachamama and the Compasso d'Oro-winning Monokini. Francesco Paszkowski Design penned the exterior, with Pierluigi Ausonio Naval Architecture behind the hull. The brief was uncompromising power and speed without giving up design or comfort.

A profile with automotive intent

Paszkowski has drawn the FAST50 with clear automotive influence, from integrated air intakes to a sculpted stern. The first hull wears a bespoke finish called Porsche Chalk, developed specifically for the project. Signature cut-out bulwarks lighten the sides and frame the glazing. A hidden transformer system replaces the usual passerelle gear, keeping the exterior lines clean and the whole form built to look fast standing still.

Outdoor living is unusually rich for a boat of this size. The stern carries a two-level beach club with fold-down bulwarks that widen the deck when the yacht is anchored. The foredeck holds lounging areas, sunpads and a Jacuzzi, and a private rooftop retreat adds a rare high perch for this class. On the upper deck a three-sided veranda gives panoramic dining, and together they hand the boat far more open-air space than her length suggests.

Light, bright and full-beam

Inside, the interior comes from Paszkowski with Margherita Casprini. Full-height glazing and the signature cut-out bulwarks push daylight and sea views through the guest areas. Large openings between inside and out keep the accommodation feeling open at anchor. The main deck is given over to a full-beam owner's suite, a real luxury at this length, and the mood throughout is contemporary and calm.

Guest accommodation sits on the lower deck across four staterooms, two VIP cabins and two twins. Captain and crew have their own separate quarters, and the yacht works across three decks in all. Weight discipline runs through the fit-out, with lightweight materials in place of heavier finishes and even titanium handrails to save mass. That obsession with weight is what lets a boat this size run at 30 knots without feeling stripped out.

Four engines and thirty knots

The FAST50 is built in aluminium for both hull and superstructure, the lightest sensible way to reach her speeds. Four MTU 16V2000 M96L engines combine for more than 10,000 hp. That gives a comfortable cruise of around 24 knots and a top speed of 30 knots. A 9 metre beam and 499 GT of volume keep her firmly in the sub-500 GT bracket, which is planing performance at true superyacht scale.

Pierluigi Ausonio Naval Architecture shaped the hull to carry that power cleanly through the water. The engineering follows Baglietto's long record of building fast, sea-tested craft going back to its early racing and military boats. For an owner the payoff is time, a fast hop between islands or a long coastal run completed before dinner. Speed here works as a practical tool for seeing more in a season, and the yard has tuned the whole boat around it.
