Twenty metres of core range
The 670 arrived in 2018 as a central model in the Ferretti Yachts flybridge line, sitting between the smaller boats and the group's larger flagships. At 20.24 metres overall it is large enough for a professional captain yet still manageable for a hands-on owner. The model ran as a first generation from 2018 through the middle of the decade and drew steady demand across the Mediterranean and beyond. It became a reference point for what a modern Ferretti flybridge should offer.
Its brief was volume and light within a familiar footprint. The 670 gives three or four cabins under a generous flybridge of around 25 square metres, with the walkaround decks the brand is known for. Barche Magazine described it warmly as twenty metres of happiness, a line that captured its easy, sociable character. For many buyers it is the sweet spot between a compact cruiser and a full superyacht.
Glass and light along the hull
Filippo Salvetti led the exterior with the Ferretti Group engineering team, and the headline feature is glass. Large hull windows and full-height saloon glazing flood the interior with daylight and lower the visual mass of the superstructure. The profile is clean and horizontal, with the flybridge hardtop stretched aft over a social upper deck. A teak-laid cockpit steps down to a bathing platform at the transom.
The upper deck is one of the 670's strongest cards. Its 25 square metre flybridge carries a helm along with sunbeds and a dining and bar area under an optional hardtop. Side decks are wide and protected for safe movement to the foredeck, where a further sun pad and seating sit ahead of the windscreen. Salvetti kept exterior detailing calm so the eye follows the long lines.

A bright, connected main deck
Inside, the main deck runs as an open saloon and dining space with the galley and lower helm forward. Ferretti Design handled the cabinetry and soft furnishings, working with pale woods and large expanses of glass. The full-height side windows mean guests keep contact with the water from every seat. Owners could tailor finishes to suit their own taste within the yard's palette.
The lower deck offers layouts for three or four cabins serving up to six or eight guests. A full-beam master amidships anchors the plan, with a VIP forward and further guest cabins to the sides. Crew quarters aft keep service separate from the owner's party. The arrangement suits both family cruising and light charter use.
MAN power, two states of tune
Buyers chose between twin MAN V8 engines at 1,000 hp each or the stronger 1,200 hp version. On the standard units the 670 cruises near 25 knots and tops out around 28. The 1,200 hp option lifts the top speed to about 32 knots for owners who value the extra pace. The planing hull was tuned by the Ferretti engineering department for a settled ride at cruise.
The engineering brief balanced speed with comfort at anchor and under way. A raised lower helm and full electronics give the captain clear command, while thrusters ease berthing at 20 metres. Sound and vibration control were worked to keep the saloon calm at cruising revs. The result is a yacht that covers coastal passages briskly without punishing its guests.
Where the 670 belongs
The 670 suits an owner ready for a captain and perhaps a stewardess, cruising the Mediterranean or similar waters for extended summer spells. Its scale allows genuine guest accommodation and crew without crossing into full superyacht running costs. Charter operators found it an easy boat to place thanks to the bright interior and the sociable flybridge. Families use it for weeks aboard rather than weekends.
In its class the 670 met rivals from other Italian and northern European yards in the 20 metre flybridge bracket. Its appeal rested on the Salvetti glazing and the volume of the main deck, backed by the Ferretti service network. Strong build numbers over its run have kept a healthy pool on the used market. That liquidity supports resale for original owners.
