From Alchemy to award winner

Lasata was delivered in 2023 under the name Alchemy, and within a year she had been named Motor Yacht of the Year at the industry's main awards. At 65.7 metres she sits among the larger boats Rossinavi has built, and she carried the yard's growing confidence with big steel hulls. A change of ownership brought the new name Lasata, but the yacht and its reputation carried over intact. Winning the top award so soon after launch is rare, and it put a young design squarely in the spotlight.

The award mattered for a yard that still builds only a handful of boats a year. It put Rossinavi in direct company with far larger production names and confirmed that its full-custom model could produce a boat judged best in class. For prospective owners, that recognition is a useful shorthand for the quality of the work. It also gave the Lasata name a head start on the brokerage circuit, where a fresh accolade travels fast.

A Vitruvius hull under an Italian skin

The naval architecture and exterior came from Vitruvius, a studio known for long, efficient hull forms that cut fuel use at cruising speed. On Lasata that thinking shows in a lean bow and a low, stretched profile. The steel hull carries an aluminium superstructure and a teak deck, the standard Rossinavi recipe for a boat of this size. Vitruvius hulls are drawn to slip through the water with less resistance, which pays back in lower fuel burn on every passage.

Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design handled the interior, giving the yacht a warm, contemporary feel that suits family use. The exterior and interior briefs were kept in step, so the calm lines outside carry through to the living spaces. The result reads as a quiet, confident boat with nothing to prove. That coherence between naval architect and interior designer is not a given on custom projects, and it lifts the finished yacht.

Room for a family and its guests

Lasata accommodates twelve guests across six staterooms, with a crew of fifteen to run her. The layout favours sociable, open living areas over rigid formality, in line with how owners increasingly use boats of this size. Gobbi's interior uses natural materials and soft tones to keep the mood relaxed across long stays aboard. At this length an owner is effectively running a small hotel at sea, and the plan was drawn to make that feel effortless.

The volume of a 1,190 GT hull gives the designers room to work without crowding. Deck spaces are generous, and the yacht is set up for extended cruising rather than short harbour hops. That balance of space and comfort is a large part of why she charters well. The extra volume also allows proper crew areas, which keeps service smooth on long charters.

Built to cover distance quietly

Power comes from a pair of Caterpillar engines, a proven and serviceable choice for a displacement yacht of this length. Top speed sits around 16 knots, which is ample for a boat designed to cruise at a measured pace. The Vitruvius hull is the real engineering story, trading outright speed for economy and range. Reliability counts for more than headline pace on a boat meant to spend weeks away from a marina.

With a range near 4,000 nautical miles, Lasata can cross oceans on her own bottom and reach cruising grounds far from home. For an owner who plans long seasons and the occasional passage, that reach removes a good deal of logistical worry. The efficient hull also keeps running costs in check, which matters over a full year of operation. Lower fuel bills and long legs between ports are exactly what a serious cruising owner wants to see.

A strong hand on the used market

A recent build, an award and a well-regarded design team give Lasata a firm position on the brokerage market. She sold off-market after her win, which speaks to the level of demand for a boat with her record. Yachts that combine a fresh delivery date with a headline prize rarely sit unsold for long.
