The fast one
Utopia IV, delivered in 2018, belongs to Rossinavi's Fast series and carries the hull number FR031. Where much of the fleet is built for range and calm cruising, this 63 metre yacht was drawn for pace. Her all-aluminium construction keeps weight down and lets four MTU engines push her to a top speed of around 33 knots, unusual for a boat of this size. The FR prefix stands for Fast Rossinavi, the yard's shorthand for its planing-capable aluminium yachts.
She arrived as a clear statement that Rossinavi could build a large, fast, technically ambitious yacht to a demanding brief. For the family behind her, speed was a practical goal, a way to compress long Mediterranean passages into a single day. That priority shaped almost every decision on the boat. It also signalled that the yard was comfortable working at the sharp end of the performance market.
Gobbi's sporty profile
Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design was responsible for both the exterior and the interior. Outside, he gave Utopia IV a sleek, athletic profile that hints at her performance without shouting about it. The aluminium hull and superstructure sit low and lean, and the lines carry a sense of motion even at rest. The stance is purposeful rather than aggressive, the kind of look that reads well from a distance.
The design had to reconcile two hard demands, high speed and full family living, in one aluminium platform. Gobbi managed it by keeping the volumes tight and the deck spaces flexible. The look is modern and clean, and it has aged well for a boat now several years old. Balancing sea-keeping, weight and volume on a fast hull is a genuine engineering puzzle, and the result feels resolved.

A family boat at heart
Utopia IV sleeps twelve guests across six staterooms and carries thirteen crew. The interior was planned around family use, with a warm, informal feel in place of the cool minimalism common on performance yachts. Gobbi's layout puts easy, open living spaces ahead of formal set pieces. The plan reflects a wider shift towards relaxed, open living even on large yachts.
The standout social space is the beach club, which runs to around 70 square metres in the transom and opens the yacht to the water. Add three spa pools across the decks and the boat becomes a floating base for a large group. The emphasis throughout is on time spent outdoors and at the waterline. Guests spend most of the day outside, and the layout is built to keep them there.
Four engines and a helipad
The engineering headline is the quad MTU installation that drives her to 33 knots flat out and a 26 knot cruise. That kind of performance from a 63 metre hull calls for careful weight control, which is why the whole boat is aluminium. Range runs to about 3,600 nautical miles at a gentler 12 knots, so she can still cover distance when the owner slows down. Running four engines is not cheap, but the ability to outrun weather and shorten passages justified it for this owner.
A touch-and-go helipad adds another layer of reach, letting guests come and go without returning to port. The package suits an owner who values getting places quickly and does not want to give up the amenities of a full-size yacht to do it. Fuel use at high speed is the obvious cost, and it is one this kind of buyer accepts. Add the helipad and Utopia IV treats distance as a minor obstacle.

Buyers who specifically want speed have a short list to choose from, and a well-kept example like this one stands out. Her strong charter record has kept her name in circulation. For Rossinavi, Utopia IV widened the yard's reputation beyond calm cruisers and into genuine performance yachts.
