Panorama 53

The Panorama 53 brings hybrid propulsion to Admiral's semi-custom line, a 53 metre, 499 GT yacht whose battery bank can run the whole hotel load for around eight hours with no engines, no noise and no local emissions. Launched at Marina di Carrara in July 2026 with a bright blue hull, she is the boat that shows where the under-500 GT class is heading.

The Panorama idea, stretched

The Panorama line is Admiral's answer to the most competitive segment in yachting, the sub-500 GT semi-custom, and the 53 is its second and more ambitious expression. She measures 53 metres with a 9.1 metre beam while staying at 499 GT, built in steel and aluminium across four decks. The extra length over the Panorama 50 goes into deck space and guest volume, keeping the regulatory and crewing simplicity that makes the class so popular with private owners.

Exterior design comes from Piredda and Partners working with Admiral Centro Stile, the studio's first collaboration with the brand, and the profile is modern and dynamic without chasing fashion. The name is the brief. Glazing runs long and low, an observatory deck is given over entirely to the view, and the launch hull's bright blue hull under a white superstructure announced that this line intends to be noticed on the water.

Eight silent hours at anchor

The headline is the hybrid system. Two MAN diesels are paired with electric alternators and lithium polymer batteries, so that under way the main engines and alternators can carry the hotel load with the generators shut down, and at anchor the battery bank alone can power the yacht's services for approximately eight hours. No generator hum, no vibration, no exhaust drifting over the aft deck at dinner.

Owners who have lived with conventional yachts will understand what that buys. Nights on board in a quiet bay become genuinely quiet, crew can time charging cycles around guest routines, and the yacht enters harbours and anchorages with a footprint that regulators and neighbours increasingly demand. It is the same direction the group proved at full scale on Kensho, packaged here into a 499 GT platform an ordinary family programme can run.

Eight hours of battery-silent nights at anchor, in a 499 GT package a family programme can actually run.

An owner's deck in miniature

Accommodation is arranged over four decks for up to thirteen guests in six cabins. The owner's suite sits forward on the main deck with two dressing rooms, two en suite bathrooms and a private balcony over the sea, a specification usually found on considerably larger yachts. Five guest cabins sit on the lower deck, connected by a lift that makes the whole boat comfortable for older guests and young children alike.

The interior of the launch hull is by Ramon Alonso of RADYCA, selected personally by the owner, which points to how the yard runs the line. The platform, structure and systems are fixed, and the interior is treated as genuinely open territory, with the client free to bring a studio of their own choosing. Semi-custom in the Panorama sense means the engineering risk is retired while the creative decisions still belong to the owner.

Terraces down to the water

The exterior plan works the modern playbook hard. A sunken pool sits within fold-down sea terraces, infinity terraces and panoramic lounges layer the upper decks, and the beach club opens at the waterline. Highest of all, the observatory deck serves as a dedicated lookout, a small luxury that regular cruisers come to prize more than any interior feature. The effect is a 53 metre that lives outward, toward the sea, on every level.

Practicality gets equal attention. A bow garage swallows a 7.5 metre tender, two personal watercraft, a rescue boat and the full inventory of water toys, keeping the aft of the yacht clear for people instead of machinery. That single decision, moving the garage forward, is what frees the stern for the pool and terraces, and it shows the kind of layout thinking the line inherited from the yard's larger custom work.

Position in the market

The Panorama 53 launched in July 2026 as the second hull of the Panorama line, with delivery expected in the summer season, and she will carry the line's flag into a segment crowded with able competitors from the Netherlands and northern Italy. Her case rests on volume efficiency, the hybrid package and the freedom the yard gives owners inside the platform, backed by a group with megayacht engineering resources behind it.

For a buyer comparing the class, the practical distinctions are the eight-hour silent capability, the main-deck owner's suite with private balcony, and a builder that also delivers 70 metre customs, so the systems thinking runs deeper than the size class usually gets. The line continues beyond her too, with 56 and 58 metre Panoramas already published by the yard, a signal that Admiral intends to own this bracket for years.

Für wen: The owner who wants the newest thinking in the sub-500 GT class, values silent nights at anchor, and wants to bring their own interior studio to a proven platform.
