A third family for the range
Numarine announced its Classic superyacht line in April 2026 with two models, the 38XPC and this, the 39MXPC. The yard describes the line as an extension of its explorer identity in a more timeless design direction, and it is careful about the word classic. For Numarine and designer Can Yalman it means proportion, clarity and elegance, the values that have defined great yachts for generations, expressed in a contemporary way.
Commercially the logic is easy to read. The XP range wins owners who like the vertical bow expedition look, and loses those who find it too industrial for Porto Cervo. The XPC models keep every functional argument, the steel hull, the volume and the range, and rewrap them in softer, more traditional lines. It is the same yacht underneath making a different first impression at anchor.
Mediterranean at heart
The M in the name carries the same meaning it does on the 40MXP. The 39MXPC emerges from the idea of enhanced onboard living, and its defining gesture is aft, where the deck has been reimagined as a large open terrace over the water with a jacuzzi at its centre. The yard frames it as a social space first, a place where the whole party gathers at anchor within touching distance of the sea.
Numarine sums the model up as timeless by design and Mediterranean at heart, and the phrase is accurate to the layout priorities. Where the 38XPC leans on traditional gentlemen's yacht interiors and formality, the 39MXPC spends its personality outdoors. Between the terrace, the foredeck and the upper deck, the design keeps guests outside from breakfast until the last drink.
A jacuzzi terrace hung over the water, classic lines above, and 6,000 miles of steel hulled range below.
Explorer engineering in a blazer
Structurally the 39MXPC is a known quantity. The hull is steel with a GRP superstructure, drawn by Umberto Tagliavini on the same platform thinking as the 37XP and 40MXP, with a 2.57 metre draft, RINA Pleasure class and a full load displacement of 333 tonnes. Gross tonnage is 370, comfortably inside the sub 500 GT regime, and Numarine quotes the familiar 18 month build time.
This is the quiet advantage of buying into a new line from a series yard. The styling is fresh for 2026 but nothing beneath it is experimental. Machinery spaces, tankage, structure and systems repeat an arrangement that has been refined across many delivered hulls, so the first 39MXPC owner gets a debut yacht without a debut yacht's teething risks.
The same long legs
Power is the standard Numarine pairing, twin MAN diesels of 800 horsepower, with the 900 horsepower heavy duty Tier III option and SCR exhaust treatment for owners specifying toward charter or long term ocean work. Top speed is 14 knots, cruise is 12, and at 8 knots the 49,000 litre tanks deliver the range that defines the brand, 6,000 nautical miles without a fuel stop.
It bears repeating what that number means in a yacht styled like this. Classic lines at marina distance, and underneath them the legs to reposition from the Riviera to Antigua or run the length of the Red Sea unsupported. Very few traditionally styled 39 metre yachts can make that claim, which is precisely the gap Numarine drew the Classic line to fill.
Cabins, crew and the open year
Accommodation runs to 12 guests in six cabins with a seventh convertible space, served by seven crew in four cabins. Hot Lab of Milan is attached for the initial interiors, and the studio's brief follows the exterior's tone, warm, calm and residential without decorative noise. As with all Numarine models, the arrangement stays semi custom and buyers of early hulls get real influence over the plan.
The 39MXPC was announced in April 2026 and no launch or delivery date has been published, so the year field here stays open. The model exists as a fully engineered design on a proven platform awaiting its first contracts, and on Numarine's usual cadence an 18 month build clock starts when a buyer signs. Watching the first order will tell the market which of the two Classics resonates.
Für wen: An owner drawn to traditional yacht aesthetics who refuses to give up modern volume, shallow draft and transocean range to get them, and who likes the social gravity of an aft terrace that works like a private beach lido.
