T580

The T580 is the 58 metre full custom Tankoa delivered in August 2024 as Diamond Binta, a Francesco Paszkowski design conceived as a worldwide explorer with sporty lines and a range beyond 5,000 nautical miles. She premiered at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, carries a bow helideck and a nine metre limousine tender, and has since been offered for sale through the yard's own fleet listings.

A one-off proven on the water

Diamond Binta is the only T580 built, a full-custom commission that shows what Tankoa engineering looks like when a single owner sets the brief. Delivered in August 2024, she made her world premiere at that year's Monaco Yacht Show before a maiden season in the Mediterranean. At 58 metres and 1,013 GT on a 10 metre beam, she packs four-figure volume into a hull short enough for the best Riviera berths.

Construction is the yard's standard recipe, steel hull under aluminium superstructure, with a full-load draught of 3.3 metres and maximum displacement of about 860 tons. Twin Caterpillar diesels give a top speed of 17 knots, cruising at 15, and at 10 knots the tanks stretch to roughly 5,400 nautical miles. Those legs mean genuine ocean crossings on her own keel, the explorer promise without the workboat look.

Paszkowski lines drawn for distance

Francesco Paszkowski has drawn for Tankoa since Suerte, and the T580 carries his sharpest work, a sporty, forward-leaning profile that hides its gross tonnage well. The brief was a worldwide explorer with style, and the design answers with a bow deck strong enough to serve as a helideck, an unusual card at 58 metres and one that changes how an owner reaches the yacht in remote cruising grounds.

The stern answers with leisure. A beach club with a folding terrace opens at the waterline, a spa with a dedicated massage room sits within, and the fly deck carries a gym and swimming pool. The garage holds two tenders including a nine metre limousine, so guests arrive dry and seated. The yacht offers a choice of three or four deck configurations in its general arrangement, flexibility rare in a hull already built.

A 58 metre worldwide explorer with a bow helideck, a glazed engine room corridor and 5,400 miles of range.

An interior of oak and tatami textures

Inside, Paszkowski worked with Margherita Casprini on a contemporary scheme in a neutral palette, gloss finishes set against oak used in a range of cuts, including a distinctive tatami-pattern texture underfoot. It is a calm, tactile interior designed for weeks aboard, with the material repetition giving the yacht a single coherent character from the salon to the cabins.

The cleverest move sits on the lower deck, where a long panoramic corridor connects the guest cabins directly to the beach area, running past the engine room, which is open to view behind glazing. Turning the machinery into a spectacle rather than hiding it flatters both the engineering and the guest experience. Accommodation runs to twelve guests in six staterooms, looked after by a crew of thirteen.

Numbers that hold their own

Twelve guests, thirteen crew and 1,013 GT is a serious service ratio, better than one to one, and the volume is spent where owners feel it, big cabins, a real spa and wide technical spaces that keep the hotel running silently. Seventeen knots of top speed places her among the quicker 58 metre displacement yachts, while the 5,400 mile range at economical speed covers an Atlantic crossing with margin.

The helideck, the limousine tender and the range add up to a yacht built for using the world, and her first seasons bore that out with Mediterranean cruising straight from delivery. For a yard the size of Tankoa, delivering a fully custom 1,000 GT yacht on schedule was also a statement to the market that the Genoa facility can carry projects the northern yards would recognise.

A rare shortcut to a custom Tankoa

Diamond Binta has since been listed for sale through Tankoa's own fleet pages, which creates an unusual opportunity. Custom yachts of this recency almost never reach the market, and a buyer here skips a three to four year build while acquiring a hull with the shakedown already done, delivered in 2024 and proven across her early seasons. The yard itself stands behind the listing.

For an owner weighing the T580 against ordering new, the calculus is time against tailoring. The interior is Paszkowski and Casprini's, and its neutral scheme adapts easily, while the platform itself, helideck, spa, tender capacity and transoceanic legs, would cost years to replicate. As a fast route into full-custom Tankoa ownership, the market rarely offers anything closer.

Für wen: The owner who wants a recent full-custom yacht with explorer range and a helideck, available without the wait of a new build.
