A New Model Built to Bridge Two Existing Ranges
Bluegame calls the BG64 the boat that completes its BG lineup, and Sanlorenzo has said openly that she borrows the architectural philosophy of the larger BG74 while reusing the proven engineering platform of the BGX63, rather than developing an all-new hull for the size bracket. That approach mirrors how Bluegame has grown its range since Sanlorenzo bought the brand in 2018: extend an existing hull family into an adjacent length rather than commission an unrelated design, which keeps development cost down and gives the BG64's underlying engineering years of in-service experience behind it even though the model itself is brand new.
The exterior and interior are credited to Zuccon International Project, the design partnership Sanlorenzo brought in across the Bluegame range after its 2018 acquisition, working alongside Bluegame founder Luca Santella to keep the brand's own visual identity rather than simply reskinning it as a Sanlorenzo product. She measures 20.00 metres length overall on a 5.30 metre beam and 1.42 metre draft, dimensions that keep her more marina-friendly than the beamier, taller-profile boats in Sanlorenzo's own flybridge ranges.
Twin Volvo Penta Pod Drives for a 28 Knot Top End
Bluegame fits the BG64 with twin Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1050 diesel pod drives, quoted at a combined output in the region of 800 metric horsepower, driving Volvo's IPS pod-and-propeller units rather than conventional shaft drives. That choice follows the rest of the modern BG and BGX range, where IPS pods are used across the line for the joystick docking control, reduced vibration and better fuel efficiency at cruise that pod drives typically offer over shaft propulsion at this size, at some cost in maximum bollard thrust compared with a shaft-driven boat of the same power.
Bluegame's own figures put the BG64 at a 28 to 29 knot top speed with a 25 to 26 knot cruise, figures that, as with the rest of this entry, come from the builder's launch material rather than an independent sea trial, since none has yet been published for a boat that only reached the water in 2026. A buyer should treat those numbers as a starting point to verify once independent test data exists, in the same way the related BGX70's own published figures were checked against an independent sea trial from Power and Motoryacht.

Bluegame calls her the boat that completes the BG lineup, borrowing the larger BG74's styling and the proven BGX63's engineering rather than starting from a blank hull, a checkable design claim rather than a stock compliment.
An Open Deck Plan for Up to 14, with Two or Three Cabins Below
Bluegame's open-boat format puts the emphasis on deck space rather than enclosed volume: the stern carries a retractable side terrace that folds down to extend the swimming and lounging area at anchor, a swim platform sized for tender and water-toy launch and recovery, and a dedicated crane on the port side rather than a davit shared with other deck functions. Bluegame quotes capacity for up to 14 people aboard for day use, considerably more than the boat's overnight guest count, which is the format's whole premise: a boat built to entertain a crowd for an afternoon and sleep a much smaller number of them over a longer trip.
Below decks, Bluegame offers the BG64 with a choice of two or three cabins, letting an owner trade a third berth for more saloon or storage volume depending on how the boat is actually used, a flexibility the smaller BGX models in the range also offer. As with performance, the interior finish itself is new enough that no independent review has assessed how the layout holds up to real family or charter use; what exists so far is the builder's own description of a restrained, contemporary interior credited to Zuccon International Project.

Too New for an Owner Base, and the Verdict Should Say So
Robb Report and Boat International both covered the BG64's Cannes debut as a first look at a new model rather than a road test, and neither publication, nor any other source found while researching this entry, describes handling an actual sea trial or speaking to an owner. That is normal for a boat this new, but it is worth stating plainly rather than dressing up a press release as reader experience: everything about her performance, ride quality and long-term durability in this entry comes from Bluegame's own published specification, not from independent verification.
The closest thing to independent testing available for the BG64's design language is Power and Motoryacht's sea trial of the BGX70, a related model in Bluegame's other range, which the magazine tested directly rather than relying on builder figures; that report is a reasonable guide to how Bluegame's pod-driven hulls generally behave at sea, but it is not a substitute for a BG64-specific trial, and a buyer should treat the gap as exactly that, a gap, until independent reporting on this model exists.
Price on Application, in Line with the Rest of the Range
None of the launch coverage from Cannes, including Robb Report, Boat International and the Italian and French boat show trade press, states a new-build price for the BG64, and Bluegame's own site lists the model without a figure, consistent with how the brand has always sold its range through dealers rather than published list prices. That makes the BG64 harder to place on value than an older Bluegame model with resale history behind it; a prospective buyer researching cost has to go to a dealer directly rather than a brochure or a listing site.
Because the model has not yet reached a resale market, there is also no used-price benchmark, no charter rate and no independent running-cost data of the kind this desk can usually cite for an established model. Sister models further along in their production life, such as the BGX60 and BGX63, do have brokerage and charter history that a buyer researching the BG64 could use as a rough proxy for running costs on a similarly sized, similarly engined Bluegame hull, but that is a proxy, not a fact about the BG64 herself.
Motorisation et systèmes
| Main engines | Twin Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1050 diesel pod drives, approx. 800 hp combined (Bluegame; Salone Nautico Internazionale di Genova launch coverage). |
|---|---|
| Gearboxes / drive | Volvo Penta IPS pod-and-propeller drive units, not a conventional shaft and gearbox arrangement, standard across Bluegame's current BG and BGX range. |
| Generators | Not published in any source found for the BG64 specifically. |
| Stabilisation | Not published in any source found for the BG64 specifically; sister IPS-driven Bluegame models typically offer a gyroscopic or fin system to order rather than as standard. |
| Thrusters and docking | Volvo Penta IPS joystick docking is standard with the IPS pod system Bluegame fits; no separate bow or stern thruster specification has been published for the BG64. |
| Tankage | Not published in any source found for the BG64 specifically. |
| What to check on a used BG64 | There is no used BG64 yet. Once resales begin, a buyer should check IPS pod and drive-unit hours and service history the same way as on any pod-driven Volvo Penta installation, since the pods, rather than a separate gearbox, are the main wear item on this drivetrain. |
Ce que rapportent propriétaires et équipages
There is no owner base yet, and this entry says so rather than inventing one
The BG64 made its public debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival; no owner, charter guest or independent test pilot has published an account of running the boat, and none should be assumed to exist until one is.
Yotters desk, on the absence of published owner or test reports as of September 2026Boat show press treated her as a design story, not a performance one
Robb Report's and Boat International's launch coverage both focused on how the BG64 fits Bluegame's range and her styling lineage from the BG74 and BGX63, rather than on any hands-on handling impression.

Les points forts et les points de vigilance
Points forts
- Reuses a proven engineering platform rather than launching an unproven hullSanlorenzo says the BG64 shares its underlying engineering with the already-in-service BGX63, so buyers are not betting on entirely unproven mechanicals even though the model itself is brand new.
- A genuinely flexible deck and cabin planUp to 14 people on deck for day use against a 2 or 3 cabin overnight layout lets an owner choose extra berths or extra saloon space, a real and checkable design choice rather than marketing language.
Points de vigilance
- No independent testing or ownership history exists yetEvery performance and handling figure in this entry comes from Bluegame's own launch material; no magazine sea trial, owner report or resale has been published for the BG64 specifically.
- Several basic figures are simply not publishedGenerator make, stabiliser fitment and fuel and water tankage are all absent from every source checked, an unusual gap even for a boat this new and one a serious buyer should ask the dealer to fill in writing.
