Following a thirty hull act

The 26XP was the yacht that scaled Numarine's explorer idea down to owner operator size and sold 30 hulls doing it, an extraordinary run for a 26 metre. When the yard sold the final new build 26XP it revealed its successor at Cannes 2025, and the 27XP had its work defined for it, keep everything the fleet proved and fix the wish list three dozen owners had accumulated.

The response is longer, wider in feel and far better equipped. At 26.97 metres the 27XP offers greater volume, a reimagined and flexible interior, a raised bow lounge and a flybridge lengthened and widened over the 26XP's, while the sharp Can Yalman lines and Umberto Tagliavini naval architecture continue unbroken. The first owner, a repeat client who previously ran a 22XP, took delivery in June 2026 with the Greek islands as the summer plan.

The under 24 metre trick

The clever number in the specification is the load line length of 23.185 metres. Kept under the 24 metre regulatory threshold, the 27XP stays eligible for owner operation and lighter compliance in many flags while measuring a full 150 gross tons, a volume figure conventional 27 metre yachts rarely approach. CE Category A certification covers open ocean use.

In practice that means a family can run the boat their way, with a crew of four in two cabins handling operations when wanted, and paperwork that stays on the pleasure side of the ledger. It is the same regulatory intelligence the yard applies at 498 GT on its flagships, exercised at the opposite end of the range.

Silence as a specification

The headline engineering is the Mk2 Super Silent Pack, a 48 volt electrical architecture built around a 92.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery bank, solar panels and intelligent energy management. The system carries the hotel load at anchor with generators off, meaning genuinely silent nights, no exhaust note over dinner and shore style air conditioning without the mechanical soundtrack.

This is where the 30XP's hybrid lessons land in the smaller boat. Solar keeps the bank topped through the day, the management system decides when a generator actually needs to run, and the batteries absorb the load peaks. For a yacht aimed at owners who anchor off islands for weeks, the pack changes daily life aboard more than any single interior feature.

Volume, kitchens and the long weekend that lasts a month

Layouts offer four or five cabins for eight to ten guests, including the option of a main deck VIP alongside a full beam master, choices normally reserved for far larger yachts. The interior leans on oversized windows, an open kitchen concept and an expanded dining area, a domestic architecture that suits the way this size of boat is really used, family first, staff light, guests constant.

Performance follows the XP script at manageable scale. Twin 560 horsepower MAN diesels deliver 13.5 knots flat out and a 2,200 nautical mile range at 8 knots from 11,000 litres of fuel, with a heavier engine option listed for owners who want more pace. That range covers the whole Mediterranean between fuel stops and makes Caribbean seasons feasible with staging.

Sold before she was seen

By the time the first hull was delivered in June 2026, Numarine had sold five 27XPs with three more under construction, and the model's formal world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2026 was still ahead. A new 27 metre selling in that volume before its first boat show is the 26XP effect in action, a fleet of satisfied owners acting as the sales force.

The build time is quoted at eight months, the shortest in the range, which keeps the gap between decision and delivery inside a single season. For buyers this bracket usually means choosing between production flybridge yachts and long waits for custom, and the 27XP's pitch is precisely that it refuses both, series price and schedule with an explorer's character and paperwork an owner can hold.
