What is Numarine's new Classic Line?

The Classic Line is Numarine's existing 37 to 40 metre explorer platform, built in four hull lengths, given five unrelated interior treatments under a single program the yard calls Numarine Atelier, rather than a new yacht design from scratch.

Numarine is a Turkish shipyard in Istanbul best known for long-range explorer platforms sold through international design studios rather than an in-house style. BOAT International reported the Classic Line on 28 August 2026: four hulls, the 38XPC and 39MXPC at 38 and 39 metres, the 40MXP at 39.4 metres and the 37.1-metre 37XP, all sharing exterior lines by Can Yalman and naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini. What is new is not the hull. It is that Numarine commissioned five separate interior studios, rather than one, to interpret the same platform, and is selling the result as a named program rather than a finishes list.

Can Yalman framed the point directly: through five very different design languages, he said, the yard can demonstrate that an explorer yacht does not have to prescribe a particular lifestyle. Numarine CEO Patrik von Sydow went further, calling it a widening of what the brand means: the initial response to the Classic Line, he said, has been encouraging enough that the yard intends to strengthen the proposition considerably. That is a different pitch to the usual semi-custom menu of hull colour and veneer choices. It treats interior identity itself as the product a buyer is choosing between, ahead of layout or even price.

How do the five Classic Line interiors differ from each other?

The five studios did not simply swap finishes on an identical layout: Hot Lab, Ofist, Vallicelli Design, Sturge and Toth, and Carla Guilhem Design each reworked a different part of the boat around a distinct cultural reference, from a Mediterranean-style open terrace to a gentlemen's-yacht heritage look.

The five studios span three countries: Hot Lab and Vallicelli Design in Italy, Ofist in Turkey, Sturge and Toth in the UK, and Carla Guilhem Design in Miami. On the 39MXPC, the brief reworked the aft section entirely, adding a jacuzzi and what Numarine describes as a Mediterranean-style open terrace in place of a conventional aft deck. The 38XPC concept runs the other way, drawing on gentlemen's-yacht heritage and a more traditional, wood-forward language rather than the open, resort-style treatment next door. Numarine has not published full layouts for the remaining two concepts, from Sturge and Toth and Carla Guilhem Design, beyond naming the studios and the models they were assigned.

The mechanism for actually buying into this is still unclear. Numarine has not said whether a client picks one of the five interiors whole, blends elements across them, or uses the five as a starting point for a genuinely bespoke sixth version, which is how comparable atelier programs at other semi-custom yards typically work in practice. Until Numarine publishes that detail, a buyer reading the announcement knows what five different Numarines could look like, but not yet how ordering one actually works, what it costs against the standard interior, or how long a bespoke blend adds to the build slot.

Is the wellness suite available on every Classic Line model, or only the largest?

It is offered as an option across all four Classic Line hull lengths: circadian lighting, an infrared sauna and a cold-therapy plunge are available on the 37.1-metre 37XP exactly as they are on the 39.4-metre 40MXP flagship.

Circadian lighting shifts colour temperature through the day, cooler and brighter in the morning, warmer toward evening, to track a natural light cycle rather than staying fixed. Paired with an infrared sauna and cold-therapy plunge, it puts a genuine spa circuit aboard a boat under 40 metres, a specification more often reserved for yachts well above that length. Numarine has described it as an option across the whole Classic Line rather than a feature exclusive to one hull size.

That matters for how a buyer compares yards. A shipyard that gates its spa deck, ice bath or infrared sauna to the flagship of a range is effectively pricing wellness by length. Numarine's structure, on paper, lets the smallest hull in the family carry the same wellness spec as the largest, which changes the calculation for an owner weighing a 37-metre Classic Line against a larger boat elsewhere that reserves those systems for its top model.

Has any Classic Line yacht actually been built yet?

Only the 40MXP exists as real hardware today: its second hull, named Mitan, is in build and due to debut at the next Palm Beach International Boat Show, the 37XP is under construction behind it, and the remaining two Classic Line models exist only as renders.

A concept that exists only as a studio rendering is a pitch for an order that has not yet arrived. Nothing here suggests bad faith on Numarine's part, an explorer yard routinely shows concepts ahead of a firm sale, but a buyer should read the five Atelier interiors as four are unbuilt and one is real, not as five yachts already under way.

How much does a Numarine Classic Line yacht cost?

Numarine has not published a price for any of the five Classic Line interior configurations; the nearest guide is the resale market for the yard's existing 32 to 37 metre models, where asking prices currently run from about EUR 12.5 million to EUR 15.5 million.

Two Numarine yachts listed for sale alongside the Classic Line coverage give a rough anchor. RAY, a 32.6-metre Numarine, is asking EUR 12,490,000. ONE ZERO, at 37.14 metres, closer in size to the Classic Line's smallest new hull, is asking EUR 15,500,000. Both are resales of Numarine's existing range rather than Classic Line hulls, so neither figure is a direct quote for an Atelier commission, but they are the only public Numarine price points available this week.

What is not published is the actual cost of ordering into the Classic Line itself, or what a fully bespoke blend across the five interior languages adds over a standard-specification hull. Semi-custom atelier programs elsewhere in the industry typically carry both a premium over the base interior and a longer lead time once a buyer starts mixing elements across studios rather than taking one whole. Numarine has said none of that publicly yet. A buyer serious about the program should expect the real number, and the real build slot, to come out only in a direct conversation with the yard rather than from this announcement.
