Sanlorenzo's 62m Alchemist lists at EUR 64m, a rare resale test
The listing and the ask
Alchemist was listed on 28 January 2026, four years after delivery and the first time she has been offered publicly. The asking price is EUR 64,000,000. Cecil Wright holds the listing, with SuperYacht Times also showing Zarpo Yachts against the boat, and broker Luke Brennan describes her as a pristine 62Steel with an appealing specification and no new-build wait time.
She has been in private use only since delivery and the brokers present her in exceptional condition. The relevant fact for anyone pricing a comparable is that the number has now been in the market since January without moving. A public ask that holds for six months is a data point in itself, and a different one from a boat that sells inside a quarter.
The numbers
LOA: 62.0 m, on an 11.5 m beam, with a maximum draught of 3.2 m and a volume of 1,291 GT. BOAT International's directory carries her at 61.87 m, so the two published lengths differ by 13 cm. The hull is steel and the superstructure aluminium, classed with Lloyd's Register and built at La Spezia in 2022.
Twin MTU 16V 4000 M53 diesels of 1,864 kW each, 2,500 hp apiece and 3,728 kW combined, give a maximum of 17 knots and a cruise of 15 knots. Tankage runs to 120,000 litres of fuel and 31,000 litres of fresh water. Accommodation is 12 guests with 16 crew in eight cabins. Deck count is another point of disagreement, with BOAT describing a five-deck layout and SuperYacht Times listing four.
Who drew her
Officina Italiana Design, the studio of Mauro Micheli, holds both the exterior and the interior on this boat, which is unusual on a steel yacht of this size and is often reported as a split credit. The naval architecture belongs to Sanlorenzo. Alchemist is the second unit of the 62Steel line, the platform that took the builder from fibreglass volume production into full displacement steel.
The interior reads in warm neutral tones against light woods, marble and textural finishes. Twelve guests are carried in five flexible suites on the main deck, with a large forward-facing owner's suite taking a dedicated deck of its own. That arrangement is the reason the boat measures 1,291 GT and still carries a conventional guest count.
What is actually aboard
The main saloon runs open plan into a formal dining area and out onto an aft deck laid out for relaxing and dining. The bridge deck above is configured for open-air use from morning through evening, with sunpads and al fresco dining. A second pool and jacuzzi sit up there as well, which is the detail that separates her from most 60-metre resales.
At water level the lower deck carries a beach club with direct water access, an interior beach club lounge with a bar, and side fold-out platforms sized for workouts on deck. A wellness centre with hammam, treatment room and gym sits alongside it, together with the tender garage and the crew accommodation. That is a working spa on a 2022 hull, which is not a given in this band.
What EUR 64m buys elsewhere
A price with no comparison is trivia, so the frame matters. On the same market, the 60-metre Amels Entourage is asking EUR 74m for 12 guests, and the 66-metre Oceanco AHS is asking USD 49.9m for the same guest count. Alchemist sits between them on length and squarely in the middle on money, with four years and one owner behind her.
The pull for a buyer is the absence of a queue. Build slots at the major yards are committed for years out, so a well-kept 62-metre available now is competing against a delivery date, not only against other used tonnage. The pace of her eventual sale, and the gap between the ask and the closing figure, will be read as the cleanest available gauge of 60-metre-plus demand.
