ميلانو، 2004
Michele Dragoni وEnrico Lumini وAntonio Romano جاؤوا من السيارات والتصميم الصناعي وتصميم الديكور. وانطلب منهم يصممون قاربا 66 قدم سوا، والطلب تحول لشراكة. والاستوديو في ميلانو من وقتها، وانتقل لمكتب جديد في وسط المدينة في 2024 في ذكراه العشرين.
وميلانو تهم في الشغل. المدينة مركز الأثاث والمنتجات الإيطالية، وهذا يعني ان الاستوديو يجلس داخل سلسلة التوريد اللي يحدد منها. ولما يرسم Hot Lab قطعة أثاث متحركة أو قماشا ليخت، يكون الصانع غالبا على بعد ساعة. وهذا يقصر مدد التوريد في الجزء من البناء اللي احتماله الأكبر يتأخر.
عمارة للمسافرين
الاستوديو يشتغل تحت عبارة عمارة للمسافرين ويتعامل مع الديكور والخارجية كمشكلة وحدة لما ياخذ الاثنين. والنتيجة معاصرة بدون ما تكون قاسية، بتركيز ثقيل على المواد وعلى الانتقال بين الداخل والسطح الخارجي. والدرج والأسقف والوصلات بين الأسطح هي المكان اللي يصرف فيه الاستوديو جهده.
وهذا التركيز مقصود. وعلى يخت 45 متر يقضي المالك معظم وقته في أربع أو خمس مساحات ويمر عبر الباقي. وHot Lab يصمم على هالواقع، وهذا سبب ان قاربا لهم غالبا يحس أكبر مما توحي حمولته الإجمالية. وجايزة Robb Report Best of the Best في 2025 عن درج تلخيص عادل لوين يروح انتباه الاستوديو.
الحمولة على قارب Hot Lab تنقرا 499 و462 و443، وهذا قرار تصميم مو صدفة.
أسطول Columbus
أقرب علاقة مع حوض هي مع Columbus Yachts، وهي جزء من Palumbo Superyachts. وAcqua Chiara بطول 47 متر و499 GT تحمل الخارجية والديكور من Hot Lab. ومثلها Night Fury II بطول 43.6 متر و462 GT. وBig Naan، بطول 42 متر و443 GT، عندها ديكور Hot Lab تحت خارجية من Hydro Tec.
وColumbus كشفت كمان عن مفهوم قائدة أسطول بطول 65.5 متر، Atlantique 65، بخارجية وديكور من Hot Lab عند حوالي 1,300 GT. والاستوديو وصف الخط بأنه مرسوم من تناسبات اليخوت الشراعية وسيارات رياضية من الخمسينات. وبالنسبة للمالك، عمق هالعلاقة يعني ان الاستوديو يعرف أصلا هندسة الحوض وتشطيباته ومقاوليه من الباطن قبل ما يبدأ مشروع.
ديكورات تحت خارجيات ناس ثانيين
جزء كبير من شغل الاستوديو هو الديكور وحده. والـ Baglietto بطول 54 متر اللي انسلمت في 2021 باسم C عندها خارجية من Horacio Bozzo Design وديكور من Hot Lab عبر 905 GT، موزع لعائلة كبيرة. وBijin، بطول 49.9 متر من Heesen و499 GT، تجمع ديكور Hot Lab مع خارجية من Omega Architects.
وهذا التقسيم عادي في هذا الجزء من السوق ويناسب مالكا يشتري في منصة قايمة. والهيكل والملمح مثبتان من الحوض ومصمم الخارجية. وكل شي يلمسه المالك لا يزال مفتوحا. واستوديو الديكور اللي ينجاب في هالمرحلة عنده حرية أقل ومسؤولية أكثر عن كيف يحس القارب فعلا.
العيش تحت 500 GT
شوف الأرقام في أسطول Hot Lab ويظهر نمط. Acqua Chiara عند 499 GT، وBijin عند 499، وNight Fury II عند 462، وBig Naan عند 443. وما في شي من هذا صدفة. وفوق 500 GT يرتفع النظام التنظيمي والطاقم المطلوب وعبء الاعتماد، والتكلفة السنوية لتشغيل القارب ترتفع معهم.
وتصميم 47 متر تقف تحت الخط بقليل تمرين حجم بقدر ما هو تمرين تصميم مظهر. وكل ارتفاع سقف وكل حاجز وكل مساحة مغلقة تنقاس مقابل الرقم السقفي. والمالك اللي ينقال له ان الـ45 متر عنده راح تكون أخف في التشغيل من قارب صديقه ينقال له شيئا محددا عن كيف انرسم الديكور. وهذا من أقل الأشياء بريقا اللي يسويها استوديو تصميم ومن أكثرها قيمة.
مجموعة Viken
Hot Lab استحوذت عليه Viken Group، اللي انأسست في بداية 2022 من Tillberg Design of Sweden، وهي شركة بخبرة عميقة في ديكورات سفن الرحلات والسفن الكبيرة. وViken كانت اشترت أصلا شركة الهندسة المعمارية البحرية Thalia Marine في أبريل 2022. ومع أبريل 2023 انوصف Hot Lab كجزء من المجموعة بستطعش يختا تحت البناء.
وبالنسبة للمالك هذا يقطع من الجهتين. المجموعة تقدر الحين تعرض هندسة معمارية بحرية وديكورات وهندسة سفن كبيرة عبر شركات مرتبطة، وهذا يوسع وش يقدر تعيين واحد يغطيه. ويعني كمان ان الاستوديو ما عاد ثلاثة مصممين مستقلين يجاوبون أنفسهم فقط. ولازم المالك يسأل مين المكلف فعلا بقاربه وياخذ الأسماء في العقد.
كيف يمشي الطلب
معظم المشاريع توصل اما عبر حوض يطور موديلا أو عبر مالك تعاقد أصلا على هيكل. وHot Lab ينتج مفهوم الديكور وشغل المخطط العام اللي يتبعه وبعدها الرسومات التفصيلية ومواصفات المواد اللي يبني عليها الحوض. وفي مشروع إيطالي شبه مفصل يمشي برنامج التصميم شهورا والتسليم عادة بعد سنتين الى ثلاث من العقد.
والاستوديو انذكر ان عنده 22 مشروع سوبريخت تحت البناء في 2024، وهذا حمل ثقيل لشركة بهذا الحجم. وهذا شي معقول يطرحه المالك مباشرة في أول اجتماع، مع كم مشروعا يحمل الفريق المكلف بقاربه ووش يصير لما يصل اثنان منها ذروة التجهيز في نفس الربع.
وش يكلف، ووين تقف المسؤولية
تصميم الديكور في هالمستوى ينحسب على مراحل محددة، برسم مفهوم ورسم تطوير وبعدها التفصيل والدعم في الموقع. وفي بناء إيطالي من 45 الى 55 متر تكون أتعاب تصميم الديكور كسرا متواضعا من سعر ينقاس بعشرات الملايين. والتكلفة اللي توجع هي المواصفات نفسها، لأن الاستوديو يقدر يرسم أرضية حجر أو درجا برونزيا يكلف أضعاف شغل التصميم عدة مرات.
وHot Lab ما يبني الديكور وما يشيل جدول الحوض. والهندسة المعمارية البحرية تخص الحوض أو شركة ثانية. ولازم المالك يحاسب الاستوديو على الرسومات والمواصفات المسلمة في الوقت ويحاسب الحوض على وش وافق يبنيه منها.
التكريم، ومين ما يناسبه
الاستوديو انسمى مصمم السنة في International Yacht and Aviation Awards 2025 وأخذ جايزة Robb Report Best of the Best في نفس السنة. وحسابه الخاص أكثر من ستين مشروعا انطلق وثمانية عشر جايزة. والتكريم من هالنوع يساعد القارب في إعادة البيع بهامش صغير ويأكد ان التشطيب استوفى مستوى يدافع عنه متخصصون.
وهذا الاستوديو ما يناسب مالكا يطلب فوق 65 متر، حيث ترق المحفظة. وما يناسب أي أحد يبي ديكورا كلاسيكيا أو حقبيا، لأن الشغل معاصر بقوة. والمالك اللي يبي مصممه يتحكم بالهيكل وبأرقام الأداء يحتاج مهندسا معماريا بحريا معينا جنبه، أو استوديو مختلفا تماما.
Contemporary dates fastest, small hulls sell quickest
Two forces pull in opposite directions on a Hot Lab boat. A firmly contemporary interior is the kind that dates soonest, because it is anchored to a moment in taste rather than to a tradition, and a fifteen-year-old contemporary scheme reads as old in a way a classical one does not. That is a cost to the second owner, and Ocean Independence noted on 11 May 2026 that the market does not usually give back the full cost of the refit that fixes it. The interior-only structure makes this sharper, because the studio's contribution is entirely in the part of the boat that gets replaced.
Pulling the other way is the size band, which is the most liquid in yachting. A 42 to 55 metre hull kept under 500 GT is cheap to crew, easy to berth and wanted by more buyers than anything above it, and the Columbus and Heesen boats in this portfolio sit exactly there. Denison Yachting recorded 470 sales of 24 metres and over in 2025 at a median 277 days on market, and this segment is where most of that volume is. The net position is that the boat sells on its hull and its tonnage, and the interior is what a buyer negotiates about rather than what he came for.
