A design-led commission

EIV was launched from Viareggio in 2020 as one of Rossinavi's boldest aluminium yachts to date. She was commissioned by an American owner who wanted a yacht that would carry a strong and personal design signature. The project ran under the name Vector before she took the name EIV. From the outset this was a yacht conceived around a distinctive look. From the earliest renderings she was built around one strong idea.

By 2020 Rossinavi had a mature line of fast aluminium hulls, which gave Gobbi the freedom to push the styling hard. EIV shows a yard willing to build a genuinely characterful yacht for an owner with a clear vision. She sits alongside the yard's other sporting 50 metres as the most overtly automotive of the group. For a design-minded buyer she is a statement of intent. Few yachts wear an owner's taste this openly.

Drawn like a grand tourer

Enrico Gobbi and Team for Design gave EIV an exterior openly inspired by luxury motoring, with a face built around a stainless steel grille and slim wheelhouse glazing that reads like a windscreen. The Venice studio treated the superstructure as sculpture, with taut surfaces and confident shoulders. Owners familiar with the Bentley Continental GT will recognise the mood. The detailing is precise and the stance is muscular. The face is unmistakable on any quay in the world.

For all the drama, the exterior remains a working deck plan. Sunbathing areas, a beach club and sheltered aft spaces give guests the full range of open air living. Gobbi balanced the sculptural upper decks with genuinely usable outdoor rooms. The yacht turns heads at the dock and still functions as a summer home on the water. Nothing about the styling gets in the way of a summer spent aboard.

A contemporary Team for Design interior

The interior comes from the same Team for Design studio, carrying the automotive theme inside through crafted materials and artistic detailing. The spaces are contemporary and confident, with large glazed openings drawing the sea into every room. Gobbi used bespoke furniture and considered lighting to keep the mood consistent from bow to stern. The result feels designed as a single and coherent object. The craft on show rewards a slow walk through her decks.

Guest accommodation is arranged for twelve across a set of well proportioned suites, with the principal given a private main deck retreat. The layout keeps sociable areas open while protecting quiet corners for the owner. Fit and finish reflect the high specification an owner expects at this level. EIV rewards close inspection as much as the wide view from the quay. Even the guest cabins feel considered and generously made.

Fast, light and modern

EIV is built in aluminium on a fast-displacement hull developed with Arrabito Naval Architects, powered by twin MTU diesels for a sporting turn of speed. The light structure helps her accelerate and hold pace efficiently through a busy cruising day. She is a yacht made to move, whether darting between coves or reaching along a coast. Her performance matches the energy of her styling. She feels eager the moment the throttles go forward.

She also arrived as Rossinavi was sharpening its focus on efficiency and cleaner running across the fleet. The yard's later BluE hybrid programme grew from exactly this kind of light, aluminium, performance-driven thinking. EIV represents the sporting edge of that tradition.
