A chi è destinato
The 2025 refresh, in detail
The refresh sits almost entirely in the cockpit layout and the interior finish. Sunseeker swapped the aft cockpit's original U-shaped seating for an L-shaped arrangement that several reviewers say makes the transom area read as wider and more usable, particularly with the beach-club transom deployed. Full-beam aft flybridge seating, previously an option, is now standard, and the flybridge gained an electric sunroof, hardtop-integrated speakers and a sliding canopy for enclosing the space in poor weather.
Below decks the change is more pronounced. Sunseeker moved away from the traditional wood joinery of earlier Manhattans toward spray-lacquer finishes throughout, redesigned the galley for more prep space and storage, and added a partial partition that visually separates the kitchen and dining area from the forward saloon, a layout YachtBuyer's reviewer called sensible and genuinely useful rather than purely cosmetic. Cabin configuration is now more flexible too: buyers can choose a four-cabin layout with a private staircase to the midships owner's cabin, or a three-cabin alternative that frees space for an office. Because the exterior profile and hull are unchanged from the 2020 boats, the value of the refresh sits almost entirely in this cockpit and interior work, worth weighing against the roughly one million dollar premium YachtBuyer's market data implies for a Gen 2 example over a Gen 1 one.
Motori e impianti
| Main engines | Twin MAN V8 diesels, 1,000 hp standard or 1,200 hp as the performance option, driving conventional shafts (Sunseeker, Power and Motoryacht, YachtBuyer). Sources disagree on whether the 1,200 hp option is a V8 or a V12; Sunseeker's own site and Power and Motoryacht call it a V8, YachtBuyer's 2025 review and Powerboat World call it a V12, so treat the exact cylinder count as unconfirmed pending the current factory spec sheet |
|---|---|
| Generator | Cummins Onan Marine QD, 27 kW, confirmed on a live Sunseeker Brokerage listing for a 2023-model hull |
| Stabilisers | CMC Waveless fin stabilisers, 0.8 sq m fins with zero-speed capable software, confirmed on the same brokerage listing. This is a conventional fin system, not a gyro |
| Thrusters | Stern thruster with proportional joystick control is confirmed. A bow thruster is standard per reviewers, but its make was not confirmed on a primary source |
| Fuel and water | 4,000 litres of fuel, 900 litres of fresh water, 400 litres of black water on upgraded hulls (Sunseeker, Sunseeker Brokerage) |
| Speed and range | Top speed 32 knots on the 1,200 hp engines is consistent across every source. Cruise speed varies from 24 to 28 knots depending on source and model year, so mid-20s knots is the honest range to quote. Range is a consistent 550 nautical miles at a 10-knot cruise across every source checked |
Cosa riferiscono armatori ed equipaggi
The 2025 refresh changes the cockpit and interior, not the hull
Sunseeker swapped the original U-shaped aft cockpit seating for an L-shaped layout, made full-beam flybridge seating standard, moved from wood joinery to spray-lacquer finishes, and gave buyers a choice of a four-cabin layout with a private staircase to the midships owner's cabin or a three-cabin alternative
YachtBuyer, 2025 review
Cosa convince e cosa va valutato
Punti di forza
- A genuinely social flybridgeSunseeker combined the dinette and aft sun loungers into one large upper-deck space, which Power and Motoryacht and Motor Boat and Yachting both treat as the model's real draw rather than a standard feature
- A well-executed beach club transomThe powered transom panel reveals a toy chest with charge points and a dedicated locker for two Seabobs, praised by both Power and Motoryacht and Motor Boat and Yachting
- The 2025 refresh is genuinely useful, not cosmeticYachtBuyer's 2025 review calls the reworked L-shaped cockpit and galley partition sensible and genuinely useful, reflecting how owners actually use the boat
Da valutare
- No independent review raises a real criticismEvery source found reads as favourable to neutral, boat-show-adjacent coverage. No Boat International sea trial exists for this model despite searching, and that absence of hard independent testing should be read as a gap, not as proof the boat has no weaknesses
- It is not the speed leader in its classAt 32 knots on the 1,200 hp option, the Manhattan 68 is closely matched by, not ahead of, direct rivals such as the Princess Y72, which reviewers quote at 33 to 34 knots on its V12 option
Informazioni pratiche
| New price | No official list price is published by Sunseeker. Market data from YachtBuyer puts Gen 1 (2020 to 2024) used examples at USD 2.5 to 3.6 million and Gen 2 (2025 refresh) at USD 3.3 to 4.4 million. A GBP 1.75 million figure was quoted by Motor Boat and Yachting at the 2020 launch, useful for showing price growth over the model's life but not a current figure |
|---|---|
| Running cost | Estimated at 5 to 6 percent of purchase price a year for a UK-based private owner, covering mooring, servicing, antifoul and insurance, roughly USD 175,000 to 210,000 a year on a 3.5 million dollar boat. This figure is single-sourced to YachtBuyer and not independently confirmed |
| Charter | Weekly rates from about USD 40,000 on a 2020 example to 51,000 on a 2024 example, usually including crew and watersports gear, before a roughly 30 percent Advance Provisioning Allowance (YachtCharterFleet) |
| Resale | A 2020 hull was listed via Sunseeker Monaco at GBP 2,295,000. No manufacturer production total is published; current market listings suggest a genuinely active resale pool rather than a rare or limited model |
