The story behind the interior, and what is not published
Latona's Stile Liberty interior is often credited to Zuccon International Project alone, but Boat International's own on-board feature describes a two-year collaboration between Zuccon's Giovanni Zuccon and CRN's in-house design department, led on the CRN side by Costanza Pazzi, running to more than 100 interior renderings and over fifteen owner visits to the Ancona yard during the build. Pazzi has described the owner and his wife overruling the design team's own preference for a more traditional hull colour such as white, cream or blue in favour of the pale turquoise the yacht now carries. At launch, CRN's chief executive Alberto Galassi called her 'this complex, magnificent, 50 metre construction' realising 'the desire of a selective and resolute owner.'
Latona has never been listed for sale or charter, confirmed as recently as a 2023 broker snapshot, and no build price, resale value or charter rate has ever entered the public record for her. That also means the deeper mechanical specification, gearboxes, generators, stabilisers, thrusters and watermaker capacity among them, has never been published; Boat International keeps its own full specification for the yacht behind a paid subscription, and with no broker listing to fill the gap this page reports that honestly rather than estimating. Her narrow 8.6 metre beam is a related trade-off: SuperYacht Times' delivery coverage states it forced the designers to balance interior against exterior space, which likely explains why her gross tonnage sits toward the low end for a 50 metre hull.

Lo que cuentan armadores y tripulaciones
The owners on the name and the brief
The co-owners, quoted directly, said: 'When we were naming our yacht, we chose the Latin version of her name, Latona, because it is softer-sounding. We think of this yacht as our families' space of welcoming comfort, almost like a mother's embrace,' adding, 'In 50 metres we have everything. I really couldn't ask for more.'
Boat International, in an on-board feature by Clare MahonTwo families, one long-standing partnership
Latona is co-owned by two university-friend families who are also business partners, and who previously owned a Ferretti 750, a Ferretti 870 and a Riva runabout together before commissioning her.
Boat InternationalThe designers on working with this owner
Zuccon International Project co-founder Giovanni Zuccon said, 'Latona's owner is an exceptional person... In my 47 years as an architect and yacht designer I have never worked with anyone who is as hands-on,' while CRN's Costanza Pazzi described the owner and his wife overruling the design team's preference for a more traditional hull colour.
Boat International
Lo bueno y lo que conviene vigilar
Puntos fuertes
- A genuinely bespoke, two-year commissionBoat International's feature reports over 100 interior renderings and more than fifteen owner visits to the shipyard during a two-year design process, producing an unusually cohesive Stile Liberty interior rather than a catalogue theme.
- A distinctive, widely remarked hull colourSuperYacht Times named her among the most memorable launches of 2018 specifically for her pale turquoise hull, a deliberate and unusual choice the owner's wife pushed for against the design team's preference for white, cream or blue.
- A clever, flexible transom spaceThe transom garage converts into an indoor pool once the tender is launched, called out by both Boat International and SuperYacht Times as a standout feature for family use.
- Genuine transatlantic range for the size3,800 nm at 11 knots is a strong figure for a 50 metre yacht, explicitly described by Yacht Harbour as transatlantic range.
A tener en cuenta
- Narrow beam limits interior volumeSuperYacht Times' own delivery coverage states plainly that Latona's slender 8.6 metre beam forced the designers to balance interior against exterior space, which likely explains why her gross tonnage sits toward the low end for a yacht this length.
- Modest guest capacity for a 50 metre hullFive cabins for up to ten guests is modest by current large-yacht standards, reflecting a home-like family layout chosen over maximum charter-style capacity, consistent with her never having been placed on the charter market.
- A highly specific interior narrows resale appealThe Stile Liberty theme, with custom Murano glass and stained glass, is a strength for the original owners but a real trade-off for resale or charter, since it narrows the pool of future buyers who would want it as-is rather than a neutral contemporary interior.
- Some public performance figures remain unreconciledAt least one yacht database lists a slower 15 knot top speed and 14 knot cruise against the 16/15 figures two independent publications agree on, a reminder that not every number in circulation for this yacht has been kept current.
