Exterior designer's account of the owner's brief
Clifford Denn described a demanding, hands-on owner. We went through lots and lots of designs with him. The owner specifically requested tenders stowed on the foredeck and big, wide stairs and roomy interior spaces, which forced the wheelhouse to be raised and the foredeck bulwarks lifted to preserve sightlines.

Pascale Reymond of Reymond Langton said the owner wanted masculine and square elements of art deco, the colours blue and cream and stainless steel, and that the central staircase was conceived as the yacht's centerpiece: the core of the yacht is the staircase, it needed to be a big story.

Konstantin Kolpakov of Arcon Yachts said Ann G's owner is a client with strong vision and high expectations, and that the result, the quintessence of customisation and superb attention to detail, is a muscular yet sleek motoryacht that will make heads turn wherever she goes. He separately called the build a big challenge for everybody.
Konstantin Kolpakov, Arcon Yachts, via CharterWorld and Boat InternationalSea trial account
Reported as among the most rigorous sea trials of any recent custom superyacht: North Sea trials in July 2015 followed by a shakedown cruise in the Norwegian fjords. She exceeded her contractual top speed of 15 knots by 0.6 knots, reaching 15.6 knots.
Robb Report and Boat InternationalIn-depth editorial walkthrough
Boat International's feature documents the build in detail: a 2010 project start via a French broker introduction, a 2011 pause through the financial crisis, resumption in 2012, and the full art deco interior scheme, including a Crystal Caviar chandelier spanning two decks, Portoro marble and hand-embossed silk velvet wall covering in the owner's suite.
Boat InternationalCurrent charter broker's walkthrough, under the name Lady Li
Arcon Yachts, marketing the yacht as Lady Li, describes the Clifford Denn exterior as classical and classy, elegant and brutal and highlights extra-wide doorways and stairwells giving a sense of scale beyond her actual length, plus a beach club with bar, hammam and gym.

Lo bueno y lo que conviene vigilar
Puntos fuertes
- Genuine award pedigree, not just marketing claimsWon Most Achieved and Best Exterior Design at the 2015 World Yachts Trophies in Cannes, plus the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show Nautilus Trophy. Was a finalist for the 2016 World Superyacht Awards in its class and for the ShowBoats Design Awards and a nominee at the 2016 International Superyacht Society Awards.
- Performance beat contract spec at sea trialDelivered 15.6 knots against a contracted 15 knots, on twin MTU 8V4000 M63 engines. A real, measured trial result, not a brochure figure.
- A true full-custom build with a distinct design signatureThe arrow bulwark line and raised wheelhouse, built to fit a 6 metre tender on the bow without blocking helm sightlines, is a genuine engineering solution unique to this hull, not a stock Heesen profile, per the exterior designer.
A tener en cuenta
- Fully bespoke art deco theme has not proven durable across ownershipThe yacht required a documented interior refresh in 2019 under the name Sairu, still by Reymond Langton, adding a new chandelier, sculpture and stone mosaics, suggesting the original art deco scheme needed updating for a subsequent owner rather than being a timeless, resale-ready interior.
- Unusually high name and ownership turnover for a decade-old trophy custom buildRenamed four times in ten years, Ann G to Lady Li to Sairu to Julia, with at least two ownership changes reported. That is a faster turnover than typical for a flagship full-custom build of this caliber, consistent with a highly personal art deco interior being a harder resale proposition than a neutral contemporary scheme.
- Current market status is genuinely contradictory across brokersRomeo United Yachts currently lists the yacht for sale under its original name Ann G, price on request, while Boat International and SuperyachtTimes reported it already sold in-house by Arcon Yachts and renamed Julia in 2022 or 2023, remaining in Arcon's charter fleet. These cannot both be current; one listing is very likely stale.
- Modest performance envelopeA 12 knot cruise and 15 to 16 knot max is typical for a full-displacement 50 metre but is not a performance yacht. Buyers wanting faster passage-making should note this is a comfort and range oriented hull.
Información práctica
| Charter rate, as Lady Li, Arcon Yachts listing | 250,000 euros a week plus VAT and about 30 percent APA. |
|---|---|
| Charter rate, as Julia, secondary report | $283,000 a week, reported by autoevolution but not confirmed on a primary broker page, so treat as unverified or possibly dated. |
| Asking price when marketed as Sairu, 2022, Arcon Yachts in-house | 28,500,000 euros. |
| Reported final sale price, as Sairu to Julia | About $31 million, per autoevolution, not independently confirmed by a second named source. |
| Current for-sale listing, as Ann G, Romeo United Yachts | Price on request. Conflicts with reports the yacht already sold and was renamed Julia; likely a stale broker listing. |
| Estimated value and running costs, unverified aggregator estimate | About $35M value and about $3M a year running costs per SuperyachtFan, an aggregator site rather than primary journalism. Treat as a rough industry rule of thumb, roughly 10 percent, not a sourced figure. |
| What a buyer or charterer should check | Confirm current name and charter or sale status directly with the flag or broker before proceeding. Public sources actively disagree on whether the yacht is for sale as Ann G or already sold and chartering as Julia. Also confirm which post-2019 interior refresh state applies. |
