Amels 60

Espen Oeino affila l'immagine

I layout ospitano 12 ospiti in comfort.

Motori e impianti

Main enginesTwin MTU 12V 2000 M72 diesels, 1,080kW each.
GeneratorsTwo Scania diesel generators, 250kW each (single-sourced to one technical trade feature), plus two shaft generators taking over hotel-load duty above roughly 10 knots.
Battery bankCapacity in kWh is not publicly disclosed. Three independent sources agree the pack sits under the swim platform for hotel-load peak-shaving only, not propulsion.
Speed and range15.5 knots top speed on diesel, approximately 13 knots cruise, approximately 4,500nm range at cruise, approximately 7 knots on generator/electric power alone with main engines off. The yard's own general portfolio page instead states 12 knots cruise and 5,000nm range; three independent hull-specific sources agree on 13kn/4,500nm, treated here as the better-supported figure.
Fuel tankage122,000 litres (single-sourced to one technical trade feature, not independently cross-checked).
Gross tonnageThe yard's nominal figure is 853 GT; individual delivered hulls have been measured and reported at 830 GT, which looks like real per-hull variance rather than an error.
Stabilisers, thrusters, watermakerNo shipyard-published exact model numbers found. Brokerage listings mention a standard bow thruster with an optional retractable stern thruster and a 240 litre/hour watermaker on at least one hull, unverified against an official Amels source.
What a buyer or charterer should understand'Hybrid' here means a peak-shaving battery plus a generator-driven electric mode for silent low-speed running, not battery-electric propulsion or extended range. The real payoff is quiet, vibration-free running at anchor and up to about 7 knots, plus emissions compliance, not a documented fuel-cost saving.

Cosa riferiscono armatori ed equipaggi

Cosa convince e cosa va valutato

Punti di forza

  • Predictable delivery off a proven platform"You have the exterior design, a proven technical platform by Amels and a customisable interior," said Amels' own project manager. The yard has delivered roughly one hull a year since 2022, a realistic timeline full-custom 60m-plus builds rarely match.
  • Genuine quiet running at anchor and low speedIndependently corroborated across a technical trade feature and a captain's own account: the boat runs on generator and shaft-generator electric power alone up to about 7 knots with the main engines fully off.
  • Real interior variety despite the shared hullDelivered interiors differ substantially by owner - Winch Design (Come Together, Khalidah), Studio Indigo (Satemi), Harrison Eidsgaard (Alva) - so buyers get a repeated hull and engineering envelope, not a repeated interior.

Da valutare

  • Semi-custom means no hull or layout changesThe naval architecture, hull form, general arrangement and engine room are fixed across all delivered hulls. A buyer wanting a different length, beam or volume distribution has to go full-custom elsewhere.
  • The hybrid system is not a range-extending propulsion batteryThe battery bank under the swim platform is for hotel-load peak-shaving only and cannot power the drive. Electric-only running at about 7 knots comes from diesel generators and shaft generators driving electric motors, not from stored battery power alone.
  • Fuel savings are marketed on emissions and comfort, not a published cost figureThe yard frames the hybrid system around noise, comfort and Tier III/SCR emissions compliance (up to roughly 70 percent NOx reduction). No source publishes a concrete fuel-saved figure for real-world operation.
  • Resale is not immune to normal depreciationThe first hull, Come Together, was relisted and dropped roughly EUR 6 million in asking price before finding a buyer - a semi-custom platform is not automatically a scarce, appreciating asset.

Informazioni pratiche

Price newNot published by the yard. Brokerage sites cite a nominal standard-version list price of roughly EUR 79,000,000, but this is broker-reported, not shipyard-confirmed, and actual contract prices vary by outfit.
ResaleCome Together's asking price fell to EUR 59,950,000 before her 2026 resale - the only hard resale figure found.
Charter ratesCome Together from about $490,000 a week plus expenses; Entourage from about $395,000 a week plus expenses. Both figures exclude the standard APA.
Running and crew costsNot Amels-specific, but current industry guidance for privately operated 40 to 60m yachts puts total running costs at 12 to 15 percent of purchase price a year, with crew 30 to 40 percent of that; a captain on a 50m yacht commands roughly EUR 120,000 to 192,000 base salary; berthing alone can exceed EUR 500,000 a year for a 60m yacht.
What is not publishedExact contract price per hull, actual annual running cost for a specific delivered hull, and any owner-disclosed fuel-savings percentage.
