Azimut Fly 62

A chi è destinato

Price, tankage and what is not published

Dealer listings for the Fly 62 show a base price of about EUR 2,480,000 ex-VAT, rising to roughly EUR 3,232,250 once options are fitted, a spread wide enough that the headline price alone tells a buyer little about what a specific boat will actually cost. Azimut's own specification sheet lists 2,800 litres of fuel and 750 litres of water, both on the smaller side for a 19-metre flybridge, which sets a practical limit on how far an owner can cruise between fuel stops even though the yard does not publish a range figure to confirm it. Azimut positions the Fly 62 between the smaller Fly 53 and the larger Fly 68 in its current flybridge line-up, so a buyer choosing it is trading some length against the newer beach-cockpit layout those older siblings do not carry.

The Fly 62 won Best Layout at the 2024 World Yacht Trophies in Cannes, a form of recognition a boat cannot buy from its own builder's press office, and the model has been in production since July 2024 at Azimut's Avigliana plant. What has not surfaced in any source checked for this page is an independent sea trial with RPM-by-RPM fuel consumption, an official range at cruise, or a first-hand account from an owner or charter guest, since the model is currently a little over a year old. The exterior is by Alberto Mancini and the interior by Fabio Fantolino, with the hull itself developed in-house by Azimut's R&D department working with MICAD; it is built in GRP as a planing hull, certified to CE Category B and to NMMA standards.

Cosa riferiscono armatori ed equipaggi

Cosa convince e cosa va valutato

Punti di forza

  • A genuinely new beach-cockpit idea, not just a bigger swim platformThe transom folds outward and the cockpit sofa lowers to create a sea-level sunbathing area with no rail between guests and the water, a layout distinct enough that it won Best Layout at the 2024 World Yacht Trophies in Cannes.
  • Pod-drive handling in a size that used to mean shaft drivesTwin Volvo Penta IPS 1200 (900hp) as standard, or IPS 1350 (1000hp) optional, give joystick docking that a comparable shaft-drive flybridge at 19 metres does not offer.
  • Hull-side glazing that actually lights the lower deckThe hull-side windows Azimut built the Fly 62 around are a real structural design choice, not applied graphics, and reviewers single them out for how much natural light reaches the lower-deck cabins.

Da valutare

  • No independent sea trial or fuel-burn figures existEvery performance number in circulation (30 knots standard top speed, 32 knots with the optional engines, 25-26 knots cruise) traces back to Azimut's own specification sheet. No marine publication found for this page has independently tested and published RPM-by-RPM fuel consumption for this specific hull.
  • Fuel and water tankage are modest for a 19-metre flybridge2,800 litres of fuel and 750 litres of water are on the small side for the class, which limits genuine range between stops; Azimut does not publish a range figure to confirm what that means in practice.
  • No owner or charter-guest account publishedSee owner_reports: the model is little over a year old and nothing beyond press-launch coverage exists yet.
