Le grandi finestre tengono luminosi gli interni e li legano all'acqua all'esterno.

What the range actually buys
The MTU pairing gives an owner a real choice at the fuel dock, not just on paper. On the standard 2,200 hp engines the 36M is quoted at around 1,400 nautical miles at cruising speed, drawn from a fuel capacity reported between 18,000 and 19,000 litres depending on the source and the hull's exact configuration. That is enough for a slow transatlantic-adjacent passage such as the Canaries to the Caribbean at a pinch, though most owners will use it for Mediterranean and Caribbean seasonal moves rather than ocean crossings. Running at the 24 knot top end on the optional 2,400 hp engines cuts that range sharply, the same tradeoff every planing-capable hull like this one makes between speed and endurance.
Fourteen hulls delivered or in build by recent counts shows the model has settled into a steady production run rather than staying a low-volume flagship experiment. A buyer choosing the standard engines over the optional pair is trading a little outright speed for meaningfully more range, worth doing deliberately rather than by default, and worth asking a broker to confirm on any specific used hull since the two engine options are not interchangeable after the fact.
Motori e impianti
| Engines, standard | Twin MTU 16V2000 M91 diesels, 2,200 hp (1,492 kW) each at 2,350 rpm. |
|---|---|
| Engines, optional | Twin MTU 16V2000 M93 diesels, 2,400 hp (1,790 kW) each at 2,450 rpm. |
| Top speed | 22 knots on the standard 2,200 hp engines; 24 knots with the optional 2,400 hp upgrade. |
| Cruise speed | 18 to 19 knots, reported consistently regardless of engine option. |
| Hull | D2P, Displacement-to-Planing, hull with a wave-piercing bow, designed by P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture with Azimut's own R&D department. GRP hull with a carbon-fibre superstructure Azimut says cuts structural weight by up to 30 per cent. |
| Stabilisers | Zero-speed and underway fin stabilisers, 1.85 sqm standard fin area with an optional 2 sqm upgrade including a dock-mode function, run through Azimut's ARGO integrated fin and rudder control. Single-sourced from a brokerage spec sheet, not independently cross-checked, so treat the exact fin sizing as indicative. |
| Watermaker | 180 l/h standard, upgradeable to 360 l/h total. Same single-source caveat as the stabilisers above. |
| Fuel tankage | 19,000 litres, confirmed consistently across Azimut's own model page, YachtBuyer and brokerage spec sheets. |
| Fresh water tankage | 3,700 litres, confirmed across the same three sources. |
| Draft | 1.96 to 1.97 m, consistently reported and notably shallow for a 35m yacht. A brokerage specifically markets it for Bahamas and shallow-water cruising. |
| Displacement | Roughly 171 to 180 tonnes depending on load condition and source, Azimut's own page citing about 171t and brokerage sources about 180t at half load. Treat as approximate rather than a single resolved figure. |
| Gross tonnage | Varies by individual hull as registered: 260 GT, 275 GT and 279 GT all appear on different specific hulls in Boat International's directory and brokerage listings. That is normal per-vessel tonnage measurement rather than a fixed factory spec, so no single GT figure should be treated as definitive for the model as a whole. |
| Dimensions | LOA 35.29 m, beam 7.50 m, confirmed across every source checked. |
| Range | Not stated here. Sources disagreed substantially, from 500 nm to 1,400 nm to 1,500 nm at 18 knots across different brokerage and aggregator sites, so the figure is dropped rather than guessed or averaged. Worth confirming with an Azimut dealer if needed. |

Repeat-buyer confidence in the Grande line
The Grande 36M hull 'H', listed for resale, was reportedly her owner's fourth Azimut and third Grande-series yacht, a loyalty signal rather than a direct comment on day-to-day use of this specific model.
Northrop & Johnson, broker James RaynerIndependent design and performance jury recognition
Won Best of Show at the 64th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2023, chosen from eight finalists by a judging panel that included yacht designer Dan Lenard of Nuvolari Lenard, a genuine industry-professional assessment though a boat-show award is not the same as a sustained sea trial.
Yacht Harbour and SFBW Magazine, FLIBS award coverageNo independent first-person sea trial found
No full hands-on written sea trial with technical handling commentary could be found from the major marine titles despite extensive searching. Motor Boat & Yachting has only a pre-launch teaser and a video tour, not a written test, and a Yacht Style review exists but returned a paywall block on every fetch attempt. This is an honest gap rather than a fabricated fill.

Cosa convince e cosa va valutato
Punti di forza
- A genuinely novel deck layoutThe first semi-walkaround upper deck on a yacht this size, running flush from stern to near the bow with fully retractable Skylounge side windows joining it to the aft terrace. This is Azimut's own stated innovation, but it is also the feature independent boat-show judges and press coverage consistently single out as the model's real differentiator, not just marketing language.
- Independent award validation beyond the builder's own PRFLIBS Best of Show 2023, judged by a panel including yacht designer Dan Lenard, and the World Yacht Trophies 2022 award for Best Interior Design 30 to 50m are both third-party award bodies, not Azimut self-promotion, and both were won by this specific model.
- Shallow draft for the sizeAt 1.96 to 1.97 m draft on a 35m, roughly 180-tonne yacht, she can reach harbours and shallow cruising grounds, the Bahamas specifically cited by a brokerage, that deeper-draft rivals in this size class cannot.
Da valutare
- Key hard numbers are inconsistent across the tradeRange figures alone varied between 500 nm, 1,400 nm and 1,500 nm across reputable-looking brokerage and aggregator sites, and gross tonnage is registered differently hull to hull at 260, 275 and 279 GT. A buyer cannot take any single published range or tonnage figure at face value without checking the specific hull's own builder spec sheet.
- Thin independent test coverage for a flagship-adjacent modelFor a model that won Best of Show at FLIBS and sits just below the Grande 44M flagship, there is a conspicuous lack of a full written sea trial from a major marine title. Coverage skews toward boat-show news and brokerage or dealer copy rather than independent hands-on testing.
- Pricing opacityAzimut does not publish a new-build price. Buyers must go through a dealer, and even brokerage asking prices for nominally similar used hulls span a wide band, roughly $12.7 million to over $20 million, making it hard to benchmark value without engaging a dealer or broker directly.
Informazioni pratiche
| New price | Not published by Azimut. The model is sold through dealers on a quote basis; no official base price appears on Azimut's own site or in press materials. |
|---|---|
| Used and brokerage market observed | Roughly $12.7 million for a 2023-build hull in Monaco (David Walters Yachts) up to around EUR 19.9 million for a new-generation Evo hull with January 2026 delivery (Yachts Invest). A 2023 hull was relisted at EUR 14.95 million after a EUR 1 million price cut from its original ask, reported by Boat International's brokerage news. |
| Charter rates, named hulls, weekly | Four named charter yachts on YachtCharterFleet: Ilma (2026) from $180,000 a week, Ocean One (2023) from $185,000, Luz de Mar (2023) and Tycoon (2024) each from $150,000. No guest reviews or testimonials accompany these listings. |
| How to buy | No direct factory storefront pricing. Buyers go through Azimut's dealer network, for example MarineMax lists the model as contact-your-local-store-for-availability, or place a semi-custom order via an authorised Azimut dealer or broker. |
| Standard vs optional equipment | Engines: 2,200 hp standard, 2,400 hp optional. Stabiliser fins: 1.85 sqm standard, 2 sqm with dock mode optional. Watermaker: 180 l/h standard, 360 l/h optional. A 2026-generation Evo spec sheet also lists an electric stern thruster and an 80 kW/60Hz generator as upgrade options, implying these are not universal standard fit on the base model; the standard generator spec itself could not be confirmed from any source. |
| Launch and production history | World premiere 5 August 2022, with a Cannes Yachting Festival debut that September. The original interior by Achille Salvagni ran through the first production generation from 2022 to about 2025; the newer Grande 36M Evo generation switched interior design to the Milan studio m2atelier, so buyers should check which generation a given hull is before assuming a Salvagni interior. |
