Azimut Grande 27M

A chi è destinato

A rare market position, proven before launch

Azimut first showed the 27M to the press in 2017 and unveiled her publicly that year at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Ten hulls were reportedly sold off-plan before that premiere, a strong order book for a series superyacht that had not yet been seen in public. Boat International's own feature on her makes a specific claim rather than generic praise, calling her the only 27 metre, raised-pilothouse, widebody, five-cabin boat on the market, a positioning built on her actual layout rather than marketing language alone.

Published sea-trial figures give a maximum range of around 800 nautical miles at a 12-knot cruise, dropping to a little over 400 nautical miles pushed to 18 knots, with fuel consumption at a 20-knot cruise reported around 400 litres an hour. Those numbers sit a little below the roughly 24-knot cruise described elsewhere in this yacht's own material, a gap this research could not close against a single authoritative source, so a prospective owner should confirm actual cruising performance on their own hull rather than assume either figure.

SpeedTop speed around 28 knots on this page's own specification. A sea-trial writeup cites a cruising speed nearer 20 knots at roughly 400 litres per hour fuel burn, lower than the approximately 24-knot cruise stated elsewhere on this page; this research could not resolve the two figures against a single source.

Cosa convince e cosa va valutato

Punti di forza

  • A genuinely distinct market position, not just marketing languageBoat International's own editorial describes her as the only 27 metre raised-pilothouse widebody five-cabin boat on the market, a specific structural claim that lines up with the boat's actual layout rather than vague superlatives.
  • Real, well-documented pre-launch demandTen hulls reportedly sold off-plan before the 2017 Cannes premiere is a concrete, checkable order-book claim rather than a boast.
  • A private main-deck owner's suite most yachts this size cannot offerThe raised pilothouse frees the forward main deck for a true owner's apartment, a layout usually reserved for larger yachts.

Da valutare

  • Cruising speed and fuel burn will not settle to one figureThis page's own sections state a cruise near 24 knots, while a published sea trial gives a 20-knot cruise and a specific fuel-burn figure at that speed. A buyer should treat either number as approximate until confirmed on their own hull.
  • No independent long-term ownership account was foundCoverage is dominated by launch press, one sea-trial writeup and brokerage listings; there is no first-hand report of how the boat has held up in service.
  • This page never states her launch yearThe year field is blank on this page; 2017 comes from press coverage rather than the page's own data, worth fixing at source.
