Motori e impianti
| Main engines | Twin Caterpillar C32 diesels, given as 1,600 hp (Boat International, rounded) and as 1,622 hp / 1,193 kW at 2,300 rpm (Denison, Romeo United Yachts). The two figures agree once rounding is accounted for. |
|---|---|
| Generators | Twin diesel generators at approximately 99 kW each, parallel-capable, per Denison's spec sheet for hull 5. A separate, uncorroborated figure of 120 kW circulates online but could not be traced to a primary source and is not used. |
| Stabilisers | Electric fin stabilisers, active underway and at anchor, approximately 55 to 75 percent roll reduction, per Denison's spec sheet. Single-sourced. |
| Bow thruster | 65 kW, variable-frequency drive, per Denison's spec sheet. Single-sourced. |
| Watermaker | Approximately 8,400 litres per day, per Denison's spec sheet for hull 5. Single-sourced. |
| Fuel tankage | 40,000 litres per Romeo United Yachts' general spec sheet against 35,000 litres per Denison's sheet for hull 5 specifically. Likely genuine per-hull variation rather than an error; both figures are reported rather than one being discarded. |
| Fresh water tankage | 10,000 litres, agreed by both Romeo United Yachts and Denison. |
| Range | Multiple disagreeing figures: 3,000 nm (Boat International directory), 3,400 nm (Denison, hull 5), 3,500 nm (YATCO), 4,000 nm (Boat International's Attitude resale listing), all at 10 knots, plus 6,900 nm at 7 knots economical cruise on the Attitude feature. No source reconciles these; likely different hulls' actual tankage and loading rather than a single true figure. |
| Top speed / cruise speed | 17 knots / 15 knots, repeated consistently and near-unanimously across Boat International, Denison, Romeo United Yachts and Baglietto-sourced press. |
| Hull material | Aluminium hull and superstructure, 5083-alloy specifically per Denison's spec sheet, agreed across every source that names it. |
| Draught | 2.1 metres per Denison, Romeo United Yachts and Boat International's directory; Boat International's Attitude resale listing instead gives 2.2 metres for that specific hull, a plausible per-hull variation. |
Cosa riferiscono armatori ed equipaggi
No independently attributable owner or crew account found
Despite more than a dozen hulls sold since around 2020, no private owner or hired captain has published a firsthand account of fuel burn, sea-keeping or reliability in real use. Everything traceable is yard-supplied, designer-supplied or brokerage marketing copy.
Yotters research deskDockside technical walkthrough of a delivered hull
A licensed-captain reviewer produced a detailed walkthrough of the delivered hull Andala, covering the engine room, air conditioning plant and watermaker location. It reads as a dockside technical inspection rather than an account of time underway, so treat it as a credentialed outsider's look at the boat, not a sea-trial or ownership report.

Cosa convince e cosa va valutato
Punti di forza
- Shallow draught for a 40 metre yachtA draught of about 2.1 metres opens shallow anchorages and marinas most 40 metre yachts cannot reach, repeatedly cited by Baglietto, Boat International and brokers as the model's clearest differentiator.
- Two-level beach club with a lifting-floor poolConsistently singled out as the model's signature space, extending the cockpit into a full beach area when docked. This is the yard and press description of the feature, not an independently tested claim.
- Hybrid propulsion now proven in serviceThe 2025 hull L'Instant added a hybrid option alongside the twin Caterpillar diesels, giving roughly 9 to 10 hours of silent, zero-emission running at anchor or near-10-knot electric cruising, showing the platform has matured beyond a pure-diesel line.
- Long range for the segmentIndependent listings put range in the 3,000 to 4,000 nautical mile bracket at 10 knots, genuinely long-legged for a 40 metre yacht even at the low end of the disagreement between sources.
Da valutare
- Thin independent documentation for the size of the fleetWith 14-plus hulls sold, the near-total absence of firsthand owner or crew testimony in public sources is itself notable. A buyer relying on published information alone is relying almost entirely on the builder's own narrative.
- Published gross tonnage disagrees across listingsFigures range from 398 GT (Boat International, one brokerage listing) to 410 to 412 GT (Denison, Romeo United Yachts), with one outlier at 499 GT. A near-100-tonne spread suggests either real per-hull variation or unreliable sourcing; get the specific hull's tonnage certificate rather than trusting a spec sheet.
- Range claims vary widely and are never reconciledDepending on source, quoted range runs from 3,000 to 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots, plus a separate 6,900 nautical mile figure at 7 knots economical cruise and a hybrid-hull claim of up to 7,500 nautical miles. No source explains the spread.
- Fast-displacement, not a fast yacht17-knot top speed and 15-knot cruise are modest even for a full-displacement 40 metre. Baglietto's own project manager frames this as a deliberate range-versus-performance trade-off, not an oversight, but a buyer wanting speed should look elsewhere.
- No published independent sea-trial dataNo magazine or class-society trial report with independently measured speed or fuel-burn figures was found. Every performance number traces back to yard-supplied figures repeated by brokers and press.
