Luce, leggerezza e tutto baglio

Quattro motori e trenta nodi

Motori e impianti
| Engines | Four MTU 16V2000 M96L diesels, combined output over 10,000hp, agreed across three independent outlets (Megayacht News, Marine Industry News, AlCircle). One broker's own fleet page instead lists twin MTU 12V2000 M96L totalling 4,000hp - inconsistent with the rest of the market on both engine count and configuration, and likely an error or a stale listing. |
|---|---|
| Top speed and cruise | Top speed of 30 knots is agreed everywhere. Cruise speed is disputed: 24 knots per one source, 20 knots per another, with no clear primary source to resolve it. |
| Draft | Reported at both 1.8m (Megayacht News) and 2.18m (a broker's fleet page) - unresolved. |
| Beam | 9m in most sources, 9.3m in one - likely rounding rather than a real disagreement. |
| Gross tonnage | 499 GT, near-universal across sources and reportedly kept deliberately below the 500 GT survey threshold. |
| Generators, stabilizers, thrusters, watermaker | Not published in any source found. |
| Fuel and water tankage | No figure confirmed specifically for this model - the only number circulating (80,000 L fuel) belongs to a differently-specced broker listing, and that same page marks water tankage 'TBA' even for its own boat. |
| Range | One unconfirmed figure - 800nm at 20 knots cruise - appears in a single source and is not corroborated elsewhere. |
| Hull and construction | All-aluminium hull and superstructure, confirmed everywhere. Titanium handrails and minimal natural stone are cited as deliberate weight-saving choices, alongside a custom hull-paint finish developed with paint supplier Boero. |
| Naval architecture | Pierluigi Ausonio Naval Architecture, confirmed across three sources. |
Cosa riferiscono armatori ed equipaggi
Too new for any owner, crew or independent sea-trial report
First hull (10268) launched 3 June 2026 at La Spezia and had not completed sea trials or delivery at the time of writing; the only people quoted anywhere are Baglietto's own executives at the launch event, not an owner or captain. The same is true of Baglietto's other recent Fast Line launches (Superfast 42, Speedy Bear IV) - none surfaced a named owner or crew account either.

Cosa convince e cosa va valutato
Punti di forza
- A structural departure from earlier Baglietto fast yachtsThree full decks plus a wide-body owner's suite give displacement-yacht-like volume at planing speeds, reported consistently by Megayacht News, Marine Industry News and Top Yacht Design.
- A shallow-draft, semi-tunnel hull aimed at coastal accessReported at 1.8 to 2.18m draft depending on the source (see systems), shallower than most yachts of this length, aimed at reaching harbours a deeper-draft flagship could not.
- A distinctive, well-documented design signatureAutomotive-influenced detailing - integrated air intakes, exhaust-inspired stern bollards, and a bespoke 'Porsche Chalk' hull finish co-developed with paint maker Boero.
Da valutare
- The 'FAST' branding is disputed by at least one informed readerA named industry commenter, Alessandro Bacci, argued on Marine Industry News's own launch article that at 30 knots on a 50-metre hull, her speed-to-length ratio qualifies her as semi-planing rather than genuinely fast - a real, if informal, technical objection to the marketing, not a staff review.
- Every performance figure traces back to the yard itselfNo independent sea trial has been published; top speed (30 knots, agreed everywhere) and cruise speed (20 versus 24 knots, disputed) both come from Baglietto's own materials, not a third-party test.
- This is an unproven first hull in a brand-new lineThe FAST50 was only unveiled as a concept in February 2024 and hull 10268 is the first ever built - no second hull or track record exists yet to compare against.
- Price is entirely undisclosedEvery listing found reads Price on Application, and the first hull itself is confirmed by its own fleet listing as not currently for sale, so no genuine market reference point exists.
Informazioni pratiche
| New price | Not published anywhere. Every listing found reads Price on Application, and the first hull (FAST 50/01) is confirmed by its own fleet listing as not currently for sale. |
|---|---|
| Used market | None - only one hull exists and she is not for sale. |
| Charter rate | None - no charter listing exists for this model. |
| Running cost | Not published. A fuel-tankage figure of 80,000 L surfaces in market aggregation but traces to a broker's generic 'Baglietto 50m Superfast' page that conflicts with the FAST50 on engine count and accommodation - not safe to treat as this model's figure. |
| What is not published | Purchase price, running costs, fuel burn, generator make, stabilizer make, thruster spec, watermaker capacity, fresh-water tankage and confirmed range - all absent from every source found, expected for a yacht that launched weeks before this was written. |
