Motori e impianti
| Engines | Twin Caterpillar C32 diesels reported by every source that names an engine (Boat International, YATCO, Boote Magazin, CharterWorld). Rated power conflicts: Boat International's directory figure implies about 1,622 hp per engine, while Boote Magazin states 1,081 kW per engine (about 1,450 hp). Not resolved between sources. |
|---|---|
| Speed | Conflicting figures across sources. Cluster A (Boat International directory, YATCO, SuperyachtNews sale report, Y.CO Private GG spec): cruise 10 to 12 knots, max approximately 18 to 18.7 knots. Cluster B (Boote Magazin, one Boat International Private GG search snippet): cruise 14 knots, max 16.5 knots. Reported here as a genuine conflict rather than averaged. |
| Range | Also conflicting: 3,000 nautical miles (initial Boat International summary), 3,500 nautical miles at 10 knots (SuperyachtNews sale report), and 3,600 nautical miles at 12 knots (Boote Magazin, and echoed in one Boat International Private GG spec listing). No two sources agree exactly; figures cluster in the 3,000 to 3,600nm band. |
| Hull construction | Conflicting between source types. CRN's own release, SuperyachtTimes (which lists her in its CRN aluminium hull yachts collection), Yacht Style and Boote Magazin all describe her as all-aluminium hull and superstructure. Boat International's and YachtBuyer's technical spec sheets instead list a steel hull with aluminium superstructure. This is reported as an unresolved conflict between the shipyard press narrative and two brokerage spec databases. |
| Hull type | Fast displacement hull, confirmed by CRN and Ferretti Group's own promotional material and multiple press outlets; this is the source of her comparatively modest top speed relative to a planing hull of similar length. |
| Tenders and toys | Only one source (Y.CO, listing her as Private GG) itemizes tenders: a Williams 625 Diesel Jet tender and a Williams 525 Jet tender, plus jet skis, paddleboards and snorkel gear. Not corroborated by a second source, so treated as single-sourced. |
| Generators and stabilizers | Not documented in any source checked. Explicitly not found; do not assume a figure. |
| Tankage (fuel and water) | Not documented in any source checked. Explicitly not found. |
| Gross tonnage, length, beam | 499 GT, 52 metres LOA, 9 metres beam are the figures given by the great majority of sources (CRN, SuperyachtTimes, Boat International, Yacht Harbour, CharterWorld, YATCO, Y.CO). Boote Magazin alone gives slightly different figures of 51.60m length and 8.90m beam, likely a rounding or measurement-basis difference rather than a substantive conflict. |
Cosa convince e cosa va valutato
Punti di forza
- Fully custom design pairing with a specialist teamExterior lines by Omega Architects (Frank Laupman) and interior plus outdoor social areas by Massari Design (Alessandro Massari), built by CRN at the Ferretti Group Ancona yard, hull number 142. Multiple outlets (SuperyachtTimes, Boat International, Boote Magazin, Yacht Style) independently credit the same design pairing, which is unusual consistency for a private custom build.
- Genuinely rare on the brokerage market and moved fast when it didChristie Yachts CEO Will Christie said the buyer was presented the yacht off-market while she was still being finished at the shipyard, calling it a case of sourcing the very finest yachts off-market in a thin-supply segment (SuperyachtTimes). She reportedly changed hands again within months of her 2022 delivery, a sign of strong desirability for a sub-500GT full-custom yacht.
- Real, usable outdoor and wellness spaces for her sizeTwo spa pools (sundeck and main-deck aft), a beach club with a wellness area including a hammam/steam room, and full-height tinted glazing on the main and upper decks for uninterrupted views with privacy, consistently reported across CRN's own release, Boat International, and Boote Magazin.
Da valutare
- Fast displacement hull caps top speed well below planing-hull rivalsSourced top speed figures cluster around 16.5 to 18.7 knots with cruising in the 10 to 14 knot range, notably slower than a similarly sized planing-hull yacht; a buyer prioritizing speed over efficiency and range would look elsewhere.
- One-off custom build means no sister-ship comparables for resale benchmarkingAs a fully bespoke CRN design there is no series or sister ship to check resale values against, and even her own reported specifications (crew size, hull material, speed, range) vary between the shipyard's press materials and brokerage/directory data, making apples-to-apples comparison to other 50 metre yachts harder than it would be for a production or semi-custom model.
- No public charter rate and no disclosed sale priceCharterWorld and YachtCharterFleet list her as available for charter (under the name Private GG) but state pricing is available only on inquiry; her February 2023 resale was reported with only a last-asking-price figure (around 32 to 32.9 million euros), with the actual transaction price never disclosed.
Informazioni pratiche
| Current name and identity | Delivered and marketed in 2022 to 2023 as Ciao; renamed Private GG following her February 2023 resale. She appears under both names across the trade press and brokerage sites (Boat International lists the same hull as both entries). |
|---|---|
| Sale history | Original build contract reportedly finalized July 2020 (Boat International), delivered July or August 2022, then resold within months. SuperyachtTimes reports the February 2023 sale was brokered by Christie Yachts (Will Christie) with Felix Sowerbutts introducing the buyer, last asking price about 32 million euros. SuperyachtNews' account of the same sale instead names Royal Yacht International and Christie Yachts as the buyer's brokers, Kitson Yachts as the seller's broker, and Ocean Independence as central agent, with an asking price of 32.9 million euros. These two contemporaneous trade reports disagree on which brokerages represented which side; the sale price itself was never publicly disclosed. |
| Charter availability and rate | Listed for charter under both the Ciao and Private GG names on CharterWorld and YachtCharterFleet; both list pricing as available on inquiry only, no public weekly rate found. |
| What is not publicly published | No sale price for the 2022 build contract or the 2023 resale, no confirmed generator make or model or output, no confirmed stabilizer system, no confirmed fuel or water tankage figures. These were not found in any source checked. |
| Crew and guest capacity | 10 guests in 5 cabins (1 main-deck owner's suite plus 4 lower-deck VIP doubles) is consistent across every source. Crew size is reported inconsistently: Boat International's charter-facing summary and CharterWorld both give 9, while the Boat International/YachtBuyer technical spec sheet and Boote Magazin both give 11. Prospective charterers or buyers should confirm current crew complement directly with the vessel. |
| Berth and marina implications | At 52m LOA, 9m beam (8.90m per Boote Magazin) and roughly 2.6m draught (one aggregator lists 2.10m, likely a light-load figure), she needs a full superyacht berth; sourced delivery reports place her cruising the Mediterranean, including the east coast of Sardinia, shortly after handover. |
| What a prospective buyer or charterer should check | Given the discrepancies here, verify current hull material and construction records, current engine hours and rated power, current range and speed figures, and current crew count directly with the vessel or her central agent rather than relying on any single published spec sheet. |
