Ripaga chi naviga in lungo e in largo e vuole vera indipendenza dai porti affollati.
Motori e impianti
| Engines | Twin MTU 12V4000 M63 diesels, rated at roughly 1,500kW (about 2,012hp) each at 1,600 to 1,800rpm, giving a BOAT International-reported top speed of 16.5 knots (other listings round this to 16 knots). |
|---|---|
| Range / tankage | BOAT International reports 140,000-litre fuel capacity and a maximum range of 5,300nm at 12 knots; this fuel figure was not independently corroborated, and other listings cite 5,000 to 5,500nm. |
| Emissions / SCR | First CRN megayacht certified to IMO Tier III (early 2020): a selective catalytic reduction system with urea injection cuts NOx emissions by 70 percent, per CRN's own press release and repeated by CharterWorld and Yachts Croatia. |
| Class notation / automation | Classed with RINA, carrying an AUT-UMS unmanned machinery space notation that allows engine-room operation without continuous engineer presence. |
| Noise / vibration control | About 70 tonnes of sound insulation (floating walls, floors, ceilings, machinery dampers) achieving roughly 60dB underway and under 36dB at anchor in the beach club - corroborated independently by BOAT International and SuperyachtNews.com. |
| Stabilisers | Underway and at-anchor, zero-speed stabilisers per charter listings; no brand or model disclosed. |
| Generators / watermaker / thrusters | Not publicly disclosed by any shipyard, brokerage or charter listing found. |
| Hull / construction | Steel hull with a bulbous, near-vertical bow to maximise waterline length and forward tender-garage volume, and an aluminium superstructure. Displacement reported at 1,105 tons alongside a separately reported 1,288 GT gross tonnage - different measures, not a contradiction. |
Cosa riferiscono armatori ed equipaggi
Owners briefed CRN to make the yacht as acoustically silent as possible
CRN's engineering manager told BOAT International that every single measure was taken - floating walls, floors and ceilings, dampers for every rotating machine - to satisfy the owners' priority on sound quality. This is the shipyard's own account of the brief; the owners themselves were not interviewed.
BOAT InternationalExterior colour scheme and lines were inspired by the owners' Rolls-Royce
Per CRN and Nuvolari Lenard's account, the owners - who met CRN at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show - wanted the hull's smoky-quartz, silver-sand and jet-black scheme and profile to echo their favourite car. This is the design team's retelling of the brief, not a direct owner quote.
BOAT InternationalOwner was closely involved in finalising the hull profile
The owner held more than 40 meetings with the project management team to refine the exterior lines and bow profile before approval, per the yard's own account relayed to the press.
BOAT InternationalNo independent owner or charter-guest review has ever been published
BOAT International titled its own feature the secretive 62m CRN superyacht Voice and a later charter piece the secretive 62m CRN yacht Salt, noting the owners avoided publicity and gave no interviews; the vessel only became reachable by outside reviewers after entering charter service in 2026.

Cosa convince e cosa va valutato
Punti di forza
- Independently recognised as a design standout, not just shipyard marketingVoice won Best Exterior Design, 54 to 82 metres, at the World Yachts Trophies 2020, corroborated separately by itBoat's contemporaneous Best Megayachts of the Year 2020 coverage - outside validation beyond CRN's or Nuvolari Lenard's own promotional language.
- Acoustic engineering result is specific and independently corroboratedBOAT International and SuperyachtNews.com independently reported the same figures: about 70 tonnes of sound insulation achieving roughly 60 decibels underway and under 36 decibels at anchor in the beach club, which sits adjacent to the machinery spaces.
- Genuine first-mover on IMO Tier III, not a one-off gimmickCRN states Voice was Italy's first IMO Tier III-certified megayacht, using an SCR urea-injection system cutting NOx by 70 percent, then rolled the same system into three more custom builds under construction - treated as a repeatable platform solution rather than a marketing feature.
- AUT-UMS automation reduces engine-room watchkeeping burdenThe yacht carries an AUT-UMS unmanned machinery space class notation, allowing the engine room to run without continuous engineer presence - a genuine operational benefit distinct from styling.
Da valutare
- Core performance figures disagree across public sourcesRange is reported as 5,300nm (BOAT International, matching the figure already on this page), 5,000nm (CharterWorld and YachtCharterFleet) and 5,500nm elsewhere, all at broadly similar cruise speeds; top speed is given as both 16 and 16.5 knots. No two independent outlets converge cleanly, so any single figure should be treated as approximate.
- Near-total owner opacity means almost everything public comes from the builder's own accountWith the owners declining all interviews and BOAT International twice calling the yacht secretive, there is no independently published sea trial, no owner interview and, even after two charter seasons as Salt in 2026, no guest review found. Nearly all technical and design claims trace back to CRN, Nuvolari Lenard, or outlets that toured the yacht at CRN's invitation.
- Key hotel-load systems are undisclosed anywhere foundNo source discloses generator make, model or output, watermaker capacity, or bow and stern thruster specifications - an unusual information gap for a flagship-tier bespoke build.
- Fairly quick turnover from delivery to resale and commercial charterDelivered mid-2020, Voice was sold off-market in June 2025 via broker Royal Yacht International (price undisclosed), then refit and renamed Salt for the 2026 charter market at roughly EUR 600,000 a week - a five-year private ownership window before entering commercial charter.
- IMO Tier III compliance carries real operational tradeoffs CRN's own materials do not dwell onIndependent reporting on Tier III retrofits generally notes SCR units and urea tankage take up real engine-room space and weight, and that urea is not stocked at every port - a standing constraint CRN's account does not address for this specific yacht.
