Linee widebody firmate Salvetti

Potenza MAN V12 e crociera assestata
What a Ferretti 940 actually costs, and can you charter one yet
Ferretti does not publish an open factory price list for the 940, so the clearest read on real-world cost comes from brokerage listings rather than the builder. A 2025 hull is currently listed through Galati Yacht Sales and HMY Yachts at roughly USD 9.7 to 9.75 million, and a separate 2026-delivery hull is listed in Europe at EUR 9,311,237 through boat24. Both figures sit in the same rough band once currency and options are accounted for, which puts a nearly-new 940 somewhere around 9 to 10 million dollars before the kind of customisation Ferretti's semi-custom programme encourages. That is a starting point, not a ceiling. Engine upgrades to the 2,200 hp V12X option, stabiliser packages and interior specification will all move the number, and none of the listings seen for this research break out those add-ons individually.
What is missing is any independently verified sense of what the boat costs to run. No fuel burn at cruise, generator output or confirmed range figure has been published, so a buyer comparing the 940 against rivals from Sanlorenzo, Azimut or Princess in the same size bracket has to get those numbers from a dealer rather than the public record. Charter is a similar blank. The first hull is not currently listed as available for charter through YachtCharterFleet, and no other 940 has surfaced on a charter fleet roster yet. That is normal for a yacht this new, since a charter programme typically follows a season or two behind private delivery. Anyone weighing a 940 today is buying into a brand-new platform on manufacturer specification and launch-cycle press alone, with the first independent ownership and charter data still to come. The two brokerage listings found for this page are themselves the earliest evidence of that data starting to arrive, and a buyer would do well to ask a dealer directly which of the two engine options and which stabiliser package sit behind any asking price quoted before comparing it against either one.

No independent owner report exists yet
As a model launched in January 2025 with only a handful of hulls delivered, no arm's length long-term ownership review or sea-time report has surfaced in marine press or brokerage channels as of this research. Every published account traces back to Ferretti's own launch and boat-show coverage.

Cosa convince e cosa va valutato
Punti di forza
- Widebody volume without a boxy hullBOAT International and YachtStyle both single out Filippo Salvetti's proportioning for adding main-deck volume while keeping the exterior sculpted rather than slab-sided, a common failure point of widebody designs.
- Main-deck owner's suite with full-height glazingIndependent reviews from Yachting Magazine and Southern Boating and Yachting highlight the near 325 square foot saloon and floor-to-ceiling glass as standout main-deck features for the size class.
- CE Class A certificationA confirmed open-sea rating for a widebody yacht in the sub-30 metre bracket, which is not guaranteed for this hull type.
Da valutare
- Stabilisation is optional, not standardAt this price point, fin or gyro stabilisers being an options-list item rather than standard equipment is a genuine cost a buyer needs to budget for separately.
- No independently verified running-cost or consumption figuresNo fuel burn at cruise, generator output rating or verified range figure has been published outside single, unconfirmed listings, so a buyer cannot yet compare real operating cost against rivals.
- No charter or resale track recordThe model is not currently listed as available for charter, and coverage to date is entirely launch-cycle press tied to Ferretti's own reveal rather than arm's length ownership experience.
