Spazio per muoversi all'interno
Motori e impianti
| Hull form | Steel Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), developed with Van Oossanen Naval Architects. Heesen markets it as giving significantly better fuel efficiency and easier motion in a seaway than a conventional round-bilge displacement hull of similar size, without a wave-piercing bow. |
|---|---|
| Length / beam / draft | 56.7m (186ft) LOA, 10.9m beam, 3m draft at half load. |
| Gross tonnage | Reported as 1,280 GT by most sources, but as 1,400 GT by Boat International - sources disagree, both figures reported here rather than averaged. |
| Main engines | Two MTU 12V 4000 M65L diesels (IMO Tier III), reported at about 1,920kW each - a figure from spec-aggregator and press sources, not independently verified against a primary shipyard datasheet. |
| Optional hybrid propulsion | Heesen offers an optional hybrid system for the model, described in its own press materials as delivering reduced fuel consumption and 'exceptionally low noise and vibration levels.' |
| Speed and range | 16 knots top speed, 12 knots cruise, 5,000 nautical miles range at cruise (extendable with an optional larger tank package) - consistent across Heesen's own materials and independent coverage. |
| Generators and stabilisers | Not independently confirmed. No reliable primary or two-source-corroborated generator output/brand or stabiliser make and model could be found; one aggregator's figures were self-flagged as possibly belonging to a different Heesen project, so they are omitted here. |
| Fresh water tankage | 25,000 litres, per one broker's spec sheet (single source). |
| Tender and toy garage | A double-height garage for an 11.4m Intrepid 375 Sport Fisherman (port side) plus an 8.6m Beachlander in a separate side garage, a 4.5m crew tender, jet-ski stowage, and reported space and support for an optional helicopter and a personal submarine - from Heesen's own press copy. |
| Ice class / dynamic positioning | Unconfirmed. One secondary automotive-press source claims 'ice-class capabilities,' but this is not corroborated by Heesen, Winch Design or Boat International's own coverage, which only uses marketing language about ranging 'from the South Pacific to Antarctica.' No dynamic-positioning system is mentioned in any source found. |
Cosa riferiscono armatori ed equipaggi
Heesen has not built or delivered a hull, so there are no owner or sea-trial reports; the only named commentary available is design-phase pitch commentary, included here for context rather than as an in-service account
"We are currently proposing it to our clients and have so far registered some serious interest" - explicitly describing an unsold concept rather than a delivered yacht.
Mark Cavendish, Heesen Yachts, quoted in Boat InternationalWinch Design's founder framed the project as an ambition rather than a finished product
"To try and create with Mark and the Heesen team a yacht that could achieve things that had never been achieved before, so a new adventure for Heesen."
Andrew Winch, Winch Design
Cosa convince e cosa va valutato
Punti di forza
- A genuinely different take on 'explorer'Rather than the wave-piercing, ex-commercial-vessel look most explorer yachts borrow, Xventure applies Heesen's own Fast Displacement Hull Form - developed with Van Oossanen - to the explorer brief, aiming for efficiency and range gains in a hull shape closer to a conventional yacht profile than to a converted trawler or icebreaker.
- Adventure-carrying capacity is a real design focus, not an afterthoughtThe double-height garage arrangement for a large sportfisher tender plus a second Beachlander, plus reported capacity for a helicopter and a personal submarine, is a substantive multi-mode-transport layout backed by specific tender models named in Heesen's own press materials.
Da valutare
- Still unbuilt, years after unveilingFirst shown in 2019 and refreshed in 2022, Xventure has no independently reported sale, hull number or construction milestone as of the most recent primary-press coverage found - this is a design concept and available model, not an existing yacht.
- 5,000nm range is respectable but not class-leading for a dedicated long-range explorer5,000nm at 12 knots is solid for a yacht this size, but traditional long-range, ice-classed explorers built on commercial hull lineages are typically built for longer unsupported range and harsher-environment redundancy; Xventure's FDHF approach trades some of that margin for a more yacht-like hull form and speed envelope.
- Key technical claims are thin or contested in press coverageGross tonnage is reported differently by different outlets (1,280 GT vs 1,400 GT), guest and cabin counts are inconsistently stated, and a claim of 'ice-class' appears in only one secondary source without corroboration from primary yacht press - a sign the model has had limited independent scrutiny given it has never been built.
Informazioni pratiche
| Price | Never published; brokers and Heesen both list it as price on request. |
|---|---|
| Guests / cabins | Reported inconsistently: one broker's spec table gives 10 guests (optional 12) across 5 double cabins plus 1 master (optional 6 cabins total); several news write-ups round this to 'up to 12 guests.' Crew up to 17. |
| Build and delivery status | No primary yacht-press source reports a sold hull, steel-cutting, launch or delivery. As of Heesen's own late-2022 comments, the design was still being 'proposed to clients' with 'serious interest' registered - not a confirmed order. She does not appear on Heesen's published 2026 under-construction list. |
| What is not published | Generator make and output, stabiliser make and model, any confirmed ice-class notation, dynamic positioning, a hull or build number, and any actual asking price are all absent from every source checked. |
